  1. Worst coaching decision... ever?

Football games are not perfect. Key elected to not kick the extra point but instead to kneel. We needed to run off 2 seconds. Al good choices. But we did not hesitate long enough after the snap and before the kneel, and the kneel was so quick we did not deplete the clock. Instead we gave Miami...
  2. Game 6 #GTvsMIA Media

The problem with the questions is all the "I am curious", "I have been wondering", "how do you fell about". Very unprofessional sounding and usually have no real substance. Questions should be short and direct to the point about specific issues. The questioners seem to be first justifying their...
  3. Where do we go from here?

It is true that our DBs have not tackled well at all and we are not good at 50/50 balls either. Our DBs play against the sweep, especially in the red zone, is really bad as we get scored on outside too easily while being out of position, not getting off blocks, and more importantly not...
  4. Thacker out at DC, now Safeties coach

I have been bothered by the bad tackling for some time and have come to the conclusion that Thacker's defense is based on bend/don't break until we can rip out a fumble. This worked better with Thomas/Eley. This objective requires arm reaching, punching, ripping,, wrestling, grabbing face...
  5. Bowling Green Post Game... 😢

Turnout in my section was very low but overall turnout was decent. GT fans booed BG when their players came out (poor sportsmanship) but later in the game on two occasions the fans lowly booed the GT team. These boos came from GT fans mostly in the west stands. There were not enough BG fans to...
  6. Game 4 #GTvsWF Postgame

It was a very smooth motion catch which greatly helped sell the "control" issue. There was no sign of "struggle" in the catch. This is really not an issue.
  7. Game 4 #GTvsWF Postgame

And I agree that Key needs to deal with that and I am sure he will (especially the taunting), but also Kennard accounted for 50% of the sacks and many of the QB pressures. The pre snap and post snap penalties are more of a problem as they can be prevented.

    Completely agree
  9. Game 4 #GTvsWF Postgame

First couple of times I saw what you saw (may not have gotten possession soon enough) but later I saw a different angle which looked more like he had it and pulled it down with constant possession. The refs may have had that last angle as there seem to be no question about "catch" at the time.
  10. Game 4 #GTvsWF Postgame

Pulling the shirt should be called every time. This can slow and redirect players movement significantly. Make it black and not gray. Call it everytime and it will cut down on the ref's judgement (and inconsistent calls) and over time will cut down on the holding. I do not agree with pulling...

    How about Blaylock?
  12. ACC Standings

In that situation you go for the first down on third, and fourth if you need it. That gets you 4 more chances for the score you have to get. I am not sure what Clem was thinking on that play call.
  13. Game 4 #GTvsWF Postgame

I agree the "want" was there but I believe the fear of Key was very present. He demanded more effort from the DL and he got it. Thacker had a good plan. The O seems to be too conservative in the second halves (the eyeball test sees too many one yard gains, especially on first down). Regardless a...
  14. Game 4 Georgia Tech @ Wake Forest (-7)

The starters may be doing the best they can "in doing what they have been told to do". For example we are weak against the outsde run. Why? One big reason is that our DEs are always crashing inside or looking and charging inside or getting EASILY blocked inside. (Maybe Thack thinks the inside...
