Beat Duke and Pitt, hire Key! Lose to UVA, get killed by FSU, well, that’s it for Key, beat VT, hire Key!, get blown out by Miami, well, that’s it for Key, pull the upset against UNC, hire Key! You guys crack me up.
I thought we would beat Miami easily and lose handily to UNC. Talk about being way off. Lol. Great game for White. He probably made himself some money tonight. Happy for Gibson to bounce back as well. Maybe he isn’t the worst QB in the history of football after all.
We are likely going to end the season losing 5 of 6 games, 4 of which were blowouts and people will still be calling for the interim coach to get the job. Smh.
I would agree with you, except for the new existence of NIL. I think it's very possible that UGA finally found domination with the old model and now the model has changed abruptly. With programs like Texas A&M, Miami, and USC now buying 5 star players the recruiting landscape is going to change...
They have only given up less than 21 one time this year. Even Florida A&M put up 24 on them. I think with a full week to prepare Gibson, plus a run heavy game plan we can put up some points. I still doubt we will cover though.
I think he is hurt, but the coaches seemed to be under the impression that he wasn't too hurt to play in an emergency situation, and he apparently was. Some kind of breakdown in communication happened here or Jeff changed his mind when the time came. It's unfortunate either way.
Several years ago, before our game, Maryland had lost their top 4 QBs to injury. They started a freshman linebacker. It didn't go well but was fun to watch.
Im baffled that you guys can't understand what cleared to play means and you keep trying to turn it into something else. It's really not that difficult. Cleared to play but not playing due to further risks is not the same as not cleared to play. It changes the entire argument. Did you learn...
I was just giving my opinion on the topic being discussed like everyone else. If you want me gone so badly just permanently ban me and get it over with.
I don't really need to. Its obvious that he was in fact cleared to play. Unless you think several medical professionals were willing to risk their livelihoods and the school was willing to risk considerable lawsuits for an outside chance at a bowl game.
Yes, it is actually. Try explaining it to me. Why would a player who is not cleared to play by our medical staff be available to play if a couple of other guys get injured? Forgive my ignorance but I always thought not cleared to play meant the injury is substantial enough that we cannot risk...
How can you be not cleared to play but be available in emergency situations? That makes no sense. I assume cleared to play here means the medical staff has evaluated him and made a determination based on his health. His health doesn't change if others get injured.
That time has passed. It's a money game now. We can recruit on the same level as Duke, UVA, VT, and Wake. If we want to jump to the FSU, Miami, Clemson level then we will have to pay the entry fee. Even Louisville is starting to play this game and they will be permanent rivals soon.
The whole emergency thing is really stupid. There is no emergency in college football worth risking the health of a player who isn't healthy enough to play. Either a guy can go or he can't. I'm not sure why we are making it complicated. Maybe it's to keep the other teams guessing.
Is Sims actually still too hurt to play or is he healthy enough to play? If it’s the latter and he refused anyways then I’m not sure why he would still be on the team going forward. This whole emergency QB thing is pretty confusing.
