I’m not miserable, just objective. I’m not as giddy over tonight’s performance as some, nor am I that excited with a 6-6 season with multiple double digit losses to bad teams, and a miracle victory that should have never happened. Heres Hoping we can get back to being mad at easily winning 7 games.

Here is the progress. We went from being a 5 win team to a 6 win team thanks mostly to the worst coaching mistake in the history of college football. I guess that can be seen as progress but it honestly isn’t much better.

You have to have some kind of balance. You can't keep spending far less than everyone else and expect to have a winning team. If you continue to have a losing team, you are digging a hole as well. One that might be harder, if not impossible to get out of.

Im not sure I would call Geoff Collins, Paul Johnson and Chan Gailey hero hires. Maybe CPJ as he was looked at as the possible solution to our problem of recruiting. Does it honestly not bother you though that we can't compete with many G5 programs for coaching hires, let alone P5 programs?
