Honestly - 2014 was Shaq Mason, good AB’s, 2 NFL WR’s and dual threat QB who could put considerable zip on the ball.
I think a QB with a better arm and an explosive receiver(Smelter) would put us in easily at 9 wins this year, maybe 10-11.
You can improve arm strength. It's not something that's easy to do, but it can be done.
It's really all about throwing volume. Your arm will strengthen. I don't know about his mechanics, but that can make a big difference as well
I don't. He's missing some reads. That said, his arm is what is making many of us think of his replacement. He just doesn't have the zip on some of the long passes. He should really work on his arm strength this off-season. It would also be nice to have a QB who can see over the line a bit...
Eh, good to know, but maybe Johnson knows JJ is special and is getting an extra year out him. At his current experience level, he may be only marginally better than LJ, and if that was the case I'd RS him rather than play him for a slight benefit.
I'm not sold on this defense. The ACC as a whole is greatly reduced offensively due to attrition - only Duke, Syracuse, and WF have returning starters at QB.
I think the dline is starting to stabilize- after 2 terrible years, but in all we've faced weaker offenses than in the past.
In order...
Can BJS cover? I know we like to play nickel, but I'd like to see brant at Mike, Vic at strong, and BJS at weak/nickel(depending on formation). He's got the speed that brant doesn't have.
