Clearly has ties to an organization run by someone with at least half a brain. We should bring him in as a consultant to our early innings offensive philosophy.
GT doesn't need 'positive energy' from me. It needs consistent on field success. That is the only way to keep ourselves from falling even further behind then we already are. Whether I am optimistic or contribute 'positive energy' or not has zero effect on that. ZERO. This isn't some kids movie...
You'd think there wouldn't be an issue but it seems the hivemind is starting to form. You didn't miss it. I haven't really said anything about the coaching search at all and you can see why I was hesitant to do so.
You would be mistaken.
The only fun we allow here is talking about how great everything is with the GT football program. I have been firmly warned that I am out of protocol in this thread.
It could work out that way and that would be great! I'm not rooting against the guy nor am I predicting failure. Just meh on the whole situation. I need to see more then eight games against mostly the soft underbelly of a weak conference schedule without any expectations to feel the same way.
TL;DR version
Title of thread: POLL: How do you feel about Key as HFC?
Me: Posts how I feel about Key as HFC
85Escape: How dare you post how you feel about Key as HFC
Me:
I don't have to explain myself to anyone but I will indulge you.
Because I don't want to? I don't have any kind of connection to any other college football team so rooting for someone else doesn't interest me.
The title of the thread is 'How do you feel about Key as HFC?' So I posted about how...
What's miserable to me is being so sensitive to someone else's honest opinion that you'd encourage them to go root for another team. Some of you on this board are unbelievably soft on that front.
I'm not wired to be blindly loyal or a simple cheerleader in my sports fandom. Goes for all the...
I chose option 4. From where I sit he was he was hired for four reasons:
1) He's a "Tech man." 🤮
2) He was cheap.
3) He was better then Collins while facing the softest part of the worst coastal schedule since I've been a fan which imo is an incredibly low bar.
4) We whiffed on everyone else on...
What?
TCU runs a version of the air raid which is one of those 'scheme' offenses you poo poo all the time. Their head coach, Sonny Dykes, is one the OG Air Raid guys along with Mike Leach. They both learned the system under Hal Mumme at Kentucky. Every team he's been a head coach of has run...
There's nothing 'technically' about it. An RPO can be double option or a triple option. The play has three options so it's a triple option play. Urban Meyer considered it a triple option play when he started using it at Utah. Not sure why anyone would have any issues with calling it what it is.
It really isn't if you, like I said before, actually read it or aren't actively looking for message board clout for some reason.
Sims can be under performing relative to his physical tools while showing a lack of development and still be our best option because the other QBs on the roster are...
So we've moved from 'qb rushing', which those teams do not do, to generic 'mobility.' Interesting.
I'm aware but I'm not talking about those teams. I'm talking about the team led by Bryce Young. Who had a grand total of 81 rushing attempts and 0 yards. And yes I am also aware that sack...
