My first impression of a practice under the new staff is it really is chaotic. They certainly get a lot of reps, but it seems like the opportunities to teach are limited. It seemed like the pace lead to some sloppiness, but I’m sure this approach has its advantages. Hopefully the chaos helps...
I have no idea what to expect this year. I believe CPJ’s players ( almost the entire team) have been hard-nosed, blue collar types and with a few exceptions they never stopped fighting, regardless of the score. I also believe we have some talents on this team that will be better able to shine...
It does seem like it could be an issue given how much we’ve heard about position flexibility and having a lot of players playing both ways. I guess it’s worth the trouble to be able to tell recruits they can have certain numbers.
Agree 100%. With all the development going on in Atlanta, it would be easy to show a recruit some impressive projects, shake hands with a GT alum who’s involved. Paired with our management program, looks like an interesting career path that doesn’t seem like “rocket science”.
It did strike me as odd how quickly Mills got Marshall’s spot, when CPJ had always been loyal (even to a fault) to upperclassmen. While MM was good, CPJ saw Mills as a difference maker. I think CPJ wanted to retire in the next few years and wanted to get Mills ready to make one last run in 18...
I’m pulling for LJ. He’s always looked like a very strong passer in spring practices and very athletic. Graham looked ultra athletic when he got into the VT game, so I’m hoping we get them both on the field at the same time. We’d have great potential for some trick plays which we might need...
If they have to use “different” shades for them to appear to be a consistent GT Gold color, then that’s what they should do. I don’t care what the designers at Adidas call the colors they’re using to make it look right.
It’s been pointed out to me that the material has an impact on how the color looks, but when it comes out like this they need to go back and tweak their process. If it comes out far too light, go back and do it darker. Don’t we have an agreement with adidas that requires them to do it right?
I continue to be disappointed in the fact that GT made a huge deal out of rebranding with our new official gold color and yet they continue to roll out stuff that is not even close to that shade. The season ticket holder shirts and these jerseys in particular are somewhere between a washed out...
Also a huge catch on senior day against UVA. He really bailed TQM out and might have been the difference in the game. Most memorable play of senior day.
Someone on the current roster will be drafted. It’s hard to argue against Juanyah being the most obvious choice, but an older guy might beat him to it. Someone like BJS might shine under the new staff.
The people running the concessions are various groups raising money for their organizations. While that’s nice for them, it often leads to extremely slow and annoying experiences for the fans. You’ll sometimes be in line behind a single customer for several minutes while they figure out how to...
I think that coaches should not have the power to limit where they can go. However, I do think they should have to sit a year so there is some kind of deterrent to bigger schools poaching talent. I’d be fine with them getting an additional year of eligibility if they’ve already redshirted, so...
Does anyone know what exactly is holding back beer sales in BDS, or the majority of college stadiums for that matter? I know there are ACC schools that sell beer, so it’s not a conference rule. You can get beer in the club seats, so why not for the rest of us? Given the arms race that college...
