I understand that TM knows the entire playbook but what good does it do if he turns the ball over or doesn't make the right reads? If our blocking and execution is a lot better and more focused with a smaller playbook, then why don't we just run a smaller playbook?
T. Marshall is starting because we are running a pass play on the first play of the game. Then CPJ will put in T. Oliver for the rest of the game.
Some good points. So do you think the reason why T. Marshall is the starter over T. Oliver is because Marshall has more potential to be able to hit the big pass play? I guess he's a better thrower than Oliver. We haven't really seen Oliver throw much. But we also are not there in practice. CPJ...
I'm definitely not an X's and O's guy so forgive me if this is a dumb question. But does CPJ need to simplify the offense and reduce the playbook for this team? It seems like when it's simplified, the blocking and QB play is better and more decisive. I remember after the Duke game hearing there...
Great blocking. No turnovers. T. Oliver was a beast. Good job by J. Johnson for the heads up play in recovering the muffed punt. Defense did a good job the 2nd half tackling. Great win. Go Jackets!
I've been a Paul Johnson defender. I think he is a great coach and I love having him here. I've respected and understand his decisions on who starts but if T. Oliver isn't the starting QB for the rest of this season, I will be upset. T. Marshall is not JT5. Oliver has to be QB 1 now.
I didn't go to Tech so all of this board of regents, the Hill, calculus stuff is new to me. I've only been educated on all this stuff recently in the past few years by this forum.
