    Parker Braun The Man

The rules for blocking in CFB are just fine the way they are now. Just as a ball carrier can be tackled low a defender can be blocked there too. The main safety issue at hand is getting blocked low from a blind side or with a double team and the rules address that just fine. I love cut blocking...

    Special Ed Conference

Just as soon as I get "froggy" the SEC decides to have a good day. After a pair of bowl wins for them and a hard fought split for the ACC the results look like this: vs NON PWR 5: SEC 22-6, ACC 16-5 vs FCS: SEC 11-0, ACC 12-1 vs PWR 5 (+ND): SEC 8-11, ACC 17-10 HEAD to HEAD: SEC 3 wins, ACC 8...

    Special Ed Conference

How good do we know Alabama really is? They have played their schedule in one of the weakest conferences this year. They look great, but in the end, is it all just a mirage of surprisingly weak opponents? We shall see soon. Personally, I think they are as good as any other team out there, but if...

    Special Ed Conference

It is just tearful what is happening to the nation's flag bearing conference, the best conference in the entire history of organized sports, not just football. You may not have noticed, but the earth has also started spinning off its axis. It is just simply that un-natural. At the conclusion...

    TaxSlayer Bowl Predictions

Kentucky has given up a ton of points this year to any team with an offensive pulse and to a couple that don't. That will continue Saturday. We have done the same at times. The big question for me is how well we will stop them. The most likely scenario is that we will need to play the safeties...

    Special Ed Conference

After yesterday's ACC split with PITT losing and MIA winning combined with A&M's loss: vs NON PWR 5: SEC 22-5, ACC 16-5 vs FCS: SEC 11-0, ACC 12-1 vs PWR 5 (+ND): SEC 6-10, ACC 15-9 HEAD to HEAD: SEC 3 wins, ACC 7 wins Lot's of football left, but the results sure are sobering for the special ed...

What does a bowl win mean?

For me, I think our 8-4 record is a good reflection of where we actually are as a program at the moment. Last year I felt we were a better team than our record indicated. In 2016, you are correct, PITT and UM could have easily been wins, probably even falling into the "should have been"...

    Special Ed Conference

Right. We all know what a GRIND it is to play in that conference. They could be an 8 win team in another conference. Yeah right. OK. It really showed against Miami OH. They got beat in every way but the scoreboard.

What does a bowl win mean?

Winning any game has a lot of meaning. However, finishing a season winning 6 of 7 has to feel good heading into the off season. There would be some good momentum, but yet still some hunger to improve because the early losses still linger. Beating UK won't be like winning the Orange Bowl, so I...

    Special Ed Conference

With MSST surviving against MIAMI OH via the blocked FG, VANDY losing handily to another ACC foe in NCST, and BC beating MARYLAND, the numbers look like this: vs NON PWR 5: SEC 22-5, ACC 16-5 vs FCS: SEC 11-0, ACC 12-1 vs PWR 5 (+ND): SEC 6-9, ACC 14-8 HEAD to HEAD: SEC 3 wins, ACC 7 wins There...

The waaay tooooo early 'What is our first play gonna be???' thread...

JT would make one heck of an AB. Let's give MJ the start at QB and have JT play AB for a series. That would be fun. I wonder if JT can cut block?

    2017 roster/depth

It is always an exciting time when you KNOW you will be replacing your starting QB. It should be fun to watch the competition develop.

    Mills update

Agreed. You know, people have made a lot of MM's tough run late in the UGAg game (and they should) but if you go back and watch the games, DM has about 8 runs or more just like it. He hasn't broken the long one, but he has been an extraordinarily tough runner for us.

    Marcus Marshall Transferring

I wish him luck. He is a good kid. I wonder how much academics played a part in his overall decision? Did he come to the conclusion that he wanted to pursue a different academic goal or career that wasn't available at TECH? It is probably any and all of the things discussed. I don't feel...

    Clinton Lynch going pro

That "bad line" just pushed us around pretty good. In a historical sense, though, that OL of theirs was not one of their better ones. I get your point.

Paul Johnson Zings Kirby Smart....and raises a question

It had to be backward because Klock is not eligible on the play. He was covered up by the WR if I am not mistaken.

    TaxSlayer Bowl Media

First of all, I want TECH to win. After that, I would love to see Bammer get humiliated by Washington. That would be the icing on the cake after a weak showing by the conference this year overall. The media would be forced to pull their heads out of the sand at that point. Watching UGAg lose...

What can we learn from Army vs Navy?

Fatigue may have been a factor. It is reasonable that it would be so. Regardless, ARMY really gave it to NAVY up front. IMHO that was the story of the game. The subs starting didn't help either. The team that wins up front, usually comes out on top.

What can we learn from Army vs Navy?

If you EVER get a chance to go, you HAVE to take advantage of it. It is everything that is good about CFB.
