The NBC thing makes alot of sense. There has been talk of ND wanting a bigger deal from NBC and NBC being up for that if it could find other football games to put around it.
If they can grab a few B10 games each week where they have 1-2 games on Saturday around the ND game and then a B10 game in...
This is a national ranking rather than an ACC one but feels like it belongs best here.

Talk on the biggest movers in the ranking...
I don't expect the ACC in 2036 to be the same as the ACC in 2022. I've said that multiple times.
I've also said I don't expect it to fall apart or to suffer huge losses in terms of number of teams leaving. I don't believe it would be more than 4 schools and I think 2 is more likely.
I don't...
I think there is one item the 'break the GoR' crowd tends to underplay that has become pretty clear over the last 2 weeks.
Where will a team go if it wants to leave the ACC (or any of the other P3)? A program (or its fans) can pine to leave all they want, they have to have somewhere to land. So...
Drad was on the radio yesterday. He basically said no school is leaving the ACC anytime soon and that the conference and schools are focused on increasing revenue (mentioned that a couple of times).
He said the ACC is in a strong position because of the GoR.
He said he has seen the GoR a few...
I don't really expect there to be much movement other than possible movement between the PAC and B12.
There have been multiple reports/articles in the last couple of days that both the SEC and B10 are likely done, other than if ND was to make a decision.
I think alot of fans want to move...
SEC hopes to stay at 16 teams
The realignment carousel could be coming to an end soon as sources tell Saturday Down South's Matt Hayes that the "preference" from SEC presidents is for the conference stay at 16 teams instead of entertaining expansion moves. Hayes reports that presidents would...
I think the ACC will exist in 2036, I do not think it will have the exact same 14 members it does now.
I do not think more than 4 current schools in the ACC will leave the conference and I'd take the under rather than the over.
Fans who think the ACC is going to fall apart because the SEC an...
BE is sort of a special case. It was a basketball conference that tried to add football and eventually was raided. Then it went back to its roots to be a basketball conference.
Pretty much all the football schools in the BE ended up in a P5 conference.
My take on expansion is pretty straight...
I'll make the same statement here that I made on another board. My totally kooky take on expansion is that in 2036 the ACC will still exist and at least 2/3 of its current membership will still be in it.
If i'm wrong i'm wrong, but i've seen nothing in the last 7 days that suggest any doom is...
I'm not really expecting much more movement until we get closer to the CFP expiring. Probably around 2024-2025.
IMO any P5 movement for the next 2 years is likely to PAC and B12 related and most likely them trying to raid each other as both have TV contract negotiations coming up (PAC's media...
This last sentence is the doom and gloom fallacy that everyone likes to say but isn't true.
It isn't like every P5 team except GT is going to end up in the Big 2. Realistically probably 36-40 will and another 30-35 will not. If you end up in the not, then you are likely playing those other 30-35...
Here is some actual useful data when discussing this topic.
This article has avg viewership for each school from 2015-2019
From the same author - info on avg viewership for 2021. This is actually helpful to get a sense of which teams are improving their viewership and which one aren't.
Big surprise, there apparently is no truth to the SwimSwam rumor that ACC schools are negotiating with the SEC
If you read alot of the swimswam article it suggests that Swimming is partially driving the bus on this.
Don't pay attention to the kooks who post most of this stuff - other than...
I don't think GT will ever get an invite to the SEC. There is absolutely no reason for the SEC to ever make an offer to GT and GT does not fit the profile of what they are looking for.
SEC cares about one thing above all else, large fanbases through the SunBelt. That is it. If that is not your...
And the fact B10 didn't have interest in them now when they could have them basically for free, when in another year or two there will be a new deal and new media rights, says alot about how big of brand you have to be to get an invite right now.
I still don't think the big 2 will ultimately...
Just like every school GT does not have unlimited resources including money, so it has to do the best it can with what it has.
If there is a coaching change I doubt the salary change will be much different from the current salaries.
