I think one aspect of the early losses and later successes is trying to rely on 3 or 4 sophs to carry a team. Compare this to PItt who; although they are mostly transfers, have 23 and 24 year olds leading their team. Notice we are getting better play all around (5 scorers with 10+ points)...
I seem to remember we did get the ball inbounds three times. Twice they gave a foul and once was a TO. Compare the ticky tacky foul on Appleby at the end to how Franklin was treated on the last play of the game.
