“Diora to the line. He’s shooting 65%. He has looked better than that tonight, making 2 out of 3.”
:D:D
I guess he’s right.
Looks like wolfies have it now…. Whew!
Duke is the luckiest bunch of &@)#> !$&8;! EVER.
That is all.
Maybe not all…. I mean… NCST missed a dunk that would’ve iced it and gets called for hanging on the rim to boot?!? How does that happen?
I heard ‘25 but not FEBRUARY of ‘25. Thanks for that info… that will be here quickly.
My opinion is that the ACC deal is undervalued… maybe just slightly, but undervalued. I think ESPN keeps it. I think it’s quality “cheap” programming. Not that FSU, UNC and even ND are rain makers as the deal...
And what a brilliant advertisement that would’ve been for the new CFP structure!
Blinded by their own SEC jock sniffing biases, they missed a golden opportunity to promote the new system. :D
I’d be as thrilled as anyone to see GT to the BIG getting some real traction, but there’s not much to get excited about here. Even if there were merit to this list, we sit at #8. I highly doubt that BIG and SEC add four teams each. Our number doesn’t get called even if (big IF) this opinion...
Maybe it’s the start of a trend? Not sure the data even confirms that though…
I think the only real takeaway is that the preseason and early season rankings seem to be quite biased but the course of the season largely brings things into perspective for the CFP ranking. There has not been as...
One point of contention with your summary…
The case wasn’t made for WHICH 3-loss teams get the nod over other 3-loss teams,it was about whether or not 3-loss teams were getting in over 2-loss teams. The examples of the latter are relatively few.
In years like ‘14 and ‘16, there were no 2-loss...
I’m kind of with you on that… I think the BIG really just wants one more (ND) but might take two to get there. I don’t know if the SEC really wants anymore at all, but might take 1-2 if stars align.
It won’t be the debilitating raid on the ACC that many predicted in any case.
I’m not so sure on that… at least not yet.
SEC may want all at large, but I suspect the BIG is fine with a lot of AQs. The fewer at large spots available, the less likely ND gets a seat at the table. I think the Irish would reassess quickly if they are watching lesser ACC/B12/G5 AQs in the...
Complaining about the SEC and BIG rigging the playoffs or complaining that they weren’t SUCCESSFUL in ruining the playoffs?
In my estimation, Finebaum would not be satisfied with fewer than 10 SEC automatic qualifiers. :D
I agree that the ACC should be thrilled at this point to be guaranteed 2 spots, but I also understand that giving another conference 3 spots cements a heirarchy that we’re hoping to shake up.
I don’t think the SEC / BIG has quite that much pull YET. I think there is more money in a playoff...
