  1. Conference Realignment

But they split that market with Miami, and all the NC schools split their market, and UVa and VT split their market.
  2. Uniforms vs VMI

I'm normally a white and gold only guy, but I'll admit the CHOA uniforms were sick and I have one of the jerseys. It's a shame they were wasted on the TFG era and a loss.
  3. On To VMI

uga is a different story because the stadium fills up. I've been at numerous games, particularly in the era of terror, where announced attendance was definitely higher than actual butts in seats.
  4. Uniforms vs VMI

I'd expect to be ranked 23-28 if we beat VMI and Louisville. Beating VMI won't do anything for us.
  5. On To VMI

@apatriot1776 and @Ramble1885 thanks for clarifying - I thought there was a game with a big rain delay last season but couldn't remember which one. as you mentioned, tickets sold vs butts in seats are different numbers
  6. On To VMI

I mean personally I don't know many people that want to sit in the remnants of a hurricane to watch a football game against a nobody school, and VMI aint bringing a bunch of fans. Attendance for SC State last year was 31k, and I don't recall that one being in the rain and they are a wee bit...
  7. On To VMI

Given the opponent, coming off a loss, and that it's supposed to rain pretty much constantly between now and gametime Saturday, I imagine fan turnout will be low - probably 25k if not less. With everything being wet, we'll probably spend most of the game working on the run and may end up with a...
  8. Injuries

Alexander and Cooley were both listed last week, that means nothing. I don't think Key removes people unless they are out for the season.
  9. Expectations

They were dropping 8 into coverage, on passing plays. YOU know this. Cuse was not bringing 3 defenders and stopping the run. Agreed that we need to reevaluate - several other have already mentioned the need for self-scouting because clearly we had tendencies they were able to go off of.
  10. Injuries

Curious about Alexander too - Key said last week that he would be good to go, but he got zero playing time against Cuse.
  11. Expectations

Does King not run the ball? Does the OL block differently for him than they do for the RBs? Additionally, how much responsibility do the RBs bear for their lack of yards? We had a WR block his man on a play to the outside and Jamal ran right into the back of them. Is the OL to blame for that...
  12. Expectations

No they aren't, they just didn't win the numbers game and blow Cuse's defense off the ball on run plays. FSU had 0 sacks and 3 TFL, while we averaged 5.3 yds/carry. GSU had 0 sacks and 5 TFL while we averaged 6.6 yds/carry. Syracuse had 0 sacks and 3 TFL while we averaged 4.7 yds/carry, but...
  13. Expectations

Reminder that our offense sputtered for stretches a lot last year too, especially early on. Go look back at the Louisville, BG, Miami, and BC games. We all hoped we would pick right up where we left off after UCF because of who we returned, but rarely does that happen even for the elite teams.
  14. On To VMI

Yes, I really want to see Pyron get some actual opportunity to lead the offense instead of just a qb keep here and there or handoffs at the end of the game. King is great but if he goes down I'm always worried that Pyron will be pretty rusty for a bit.
  15. Syracuse Post Game

Then you should get your eyes checked. If you can't even attempt to be honest I'll just put you on ignore. Kennard was 6th on the team in total tackles with 54, including 6 sacks and 11 TFL, and also forced and recovered 2 fumbles and had an interception. Best of any of the DL we had in all 6...
  16. Syracuse Post Game

Perhaps you don't miss him, but most of the rest of us do. He has 3.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles in 2 games so far for South Carolina this season. Our entire defense has 2 sacks and 1 fumble recovery through 3 games.
  17. Syracuse Post Game

That doesn't make sense. If we had accepted the penalty Tech would have had to make two stops, not one. The only way you are doing it in one play is with a turnover and idk if you've noticed but we arent generating those.
  18. Syracuse Post Game

16 of McCord's 32 completions were for 10+ yards, and 7 of those were 20+ yards. I don't see any reason to think McCord is suddenly going to be scared having two downs to complete a pass or two he'd been completing all game.
  19. Game 3 Georgia Tech vs Syracuse Media

    Rod Sweeting pt 2 anyone?
  20. GAMEDAY!!!

Maybe, but surely we know how to handle classes remotely?
