Is there an incentive for Collins to negotiate an early exit? He could also get in on the coaching carousel if he left early enough. Unless he wants a paid year off I guess :) Just seems like an early November exit could be something that could be negotiated to the benefit of both parties if you...
They are not! That's a ridiculous thing to even say and you are damaging the fan base by even implying it! It will likely mean the end of GT Football 4evr!!!!! In fact, GT might even get shut down by the BOR as an embarrassment to the state because you posted that on a public forum!!!! ;)
It's a new low. You know it's got to be when (almost?) no one on the site is arguing in every thread that the HC is The Guy and the rest of us clearly just don't understand football.
Lol. Based on my work with the academic administrative side (industrial relations and research), I'm pretty sure GT doesn't get the best and brightest from the ATL. The Profs are top-notch, but we have to compete with Microsoft et al. for mid-level administrators on a state budget. And almost...
I agree! I even said at our watch party when our QB just softly collapsed instead of fighting for the first down "I miss Nesbitt". Win or lose I'm with them if they'll just fight.
I agree. But the implication that it is better to have someone who has failed than succeeded. I highly doubt that what the investor meant (having also dealt with them.) More likely they meant they would rather hire someone who has failed smartly than someone who has never tried. That I agree...
But would he rather invest in someone who has 10 blow-out failures versus 10 blow-out successes? If he says yes then he's a liar pure and simple. Or an idiot I guess.
Me too...it has the ring of a Phishing Attack to me. Weird and vague wording that just seems 'off'.
Either that or we have a really bad marketing/communications department.
Oh. Yeah.
Truth. I find that so amazing. People who constantly fail at their job at the highest level getting hired to do it again...I guess because they can tout all the 'hard lessons' they learned ruining the last team. Or maybe they are just really good at the BS game in interviews?
I guess the...
100%. He'll never get a gig like this again. The money he's getting is crazy. He should stay on and 'quiet quit' since he thinks he's half his actual age.
The way I see it is that nothing we've seen from this staff ensures better performance, but without what we've seen from them the desired better performance is very unlikely. I'll take what I can get!
