  1. Sheamus is here!

Running out with the team and the Wreck.
  2. 2024 non-GT games thread

No imagination in that offense, reminded me of a Patrick Nix offense. They have enough talent to win games, but you can’t out-talent the Dwags
  3. 2024 non-GT games thread

Lots of misfires in that game.
  4. GSU game thread

I thought the same thing. You could go with something like, "Georgia Tech staying focused on next test" that was positive and used exactly the same article.
  5. Positive press

I think he also wanted $5-6 million?
  6. 2024 non-GT games thread

Pretty sad for Max Johnson, I was watching when he went down and he was in a ton of pain. UNC is going to have some challenges at QB now, we'll see how the backup does. He looked to have some ball security challenges last night. The 3rd string guy was at UNC for 3 years, then transferred to...
  7. GSU game thread

Maybe they’ll use the film to tie around our OL’s ankles? Seriously, the film thing is overblown.
  8. GSU game thread

There are plenty of coaches that build something good and stay, even for less money. Once established you also get more forgiveness after a few down years. The first 3-4 years are when you’re most at risk of losing your job. I live in Davidson, NC and Bob McKillop could’ve taken other...
  9. FSU Post game thread

MLB usually gets the glory (or the Edge) but it’s the DTs and DEs that make it possible. If your safety is leading in tackles it’s because your DL isn’t keeping blockers off of the LBs. Edit: after posting this, I went back and looked - FSU leading tackler at 13 was Brown, a DB.
  10. Conference Realignment

But USC and Oklahoma were both undefeated. Not to mention Utah was undefeated. Ultimately, Auburn's poor schedule led them to be 3rd. Both AP and Coach's Poll had them 3rd, and the computer polls (which included SOS) had them 3rd. So, it's a different story when 3 undefeated teams are going...
  11. Analytics post mortem

These rely on other games being played to become useful, I think. You need to give it 3-4 games and let some conference games happen before you can tell anything. FEI is most useful for explaining what happened and why, not for predicting the future.
  12. Georgia Tech Opens as 21.5 Point Favorite Against Georgia State

I'm willing to bet on Coach Key's approach here. Santucci seems to be exactly like him, so I think they will see this as a test of literally putting the FSU game in the can and getting ready for GSU. The pride in being prepared is what should limit a fallback here. At least, that's what I'm...
  13. Georgia Tech Opens as 21.5 Point Favorite Against Georgia State

I think it's going to be a tough year for GSU. They lost a really veteran QB/RB combination, and their QB was their second highest rusher. Plus, full coaching change. So, they've got a similar situation to FSU player-wise, with the added challenge of a new coaching staff / system / approach...
  14. Analytics post mortem

They're not. I have a spreadsheet with all of the picks from 2023 (based on FEI each week) and they aren't.
  15. Analytics post mortem

All of this is interesting for me, as I have a Masters in Analytics and have been doing predictive modeling and statistical analysis work for 15 years. But the reason I throw my hands up is because (1) it's impossible to predict things with such a small number of occurrences with (2) no...
  16. QB Helment & OC Communication: King and Foster

No, it’s to Faulkner because he’s calling the plays.
  17. Imagine Getting Dogwalked by a........

We may be trying to keep his redshirt, but in this day of transfer portals and NIL it feels like maybe Alexander was just more prepared to serve as RB2. Learning a complicated playbook takes some time, and Alexander proved to be a tough runner.
  18. Florida State Schadenfreude

ACC this year: My two favorite teams are [insert my team] and whoever is playing FSU. Myself, I now want FSU to do well for our SOS, and my second favorite team is still whoever is playing the Georiga Dwags.
  19. Helemets

When I saw the stripe down the middle of our helmets, I thought “Gold mohawk, interesting choice.” Then I saw that we were matching the design in the end zones and I thought, “Super classy move, GT.” That was pretty sweet to see that coordination and a little bit of Irish into the uniforms...
