Direct quote from the announcers: “I don’t know why they even consider passing the ball.” This was with King in the game, in the third quarter. We were running all over them, and I imagine we would’ve run the ball if King was in the game as well. We were up 10, trying to burn the clock.
My son and I had Carolina Panthers season tickets last year and sat in the upper deck in the end zone, and I feel the same way. Can be hard to see first down conversions but you really get to see the flow of the game better.
On our first PI, it really looked like the offensive player pulled our DB down, also. Like he was holding our guys shoulder pad and pushed our guy down.
This was my main takeaway last year - how much Nait improved in such a short time period. The first few games I cringed when he shot, and then he had the ball in his hands to beat UNC. I know he was a bit inconsistent, but still improved dramatically. Not to mention 4.7 -2.1 turnovers to assists.
I don’t think that Mutombo has proven he’s a quality starter, although I obviously hope he figures out how to do that. I believe he is purely bench strength.
We do call a lot of screens, but we also throw the intermediate routes. The throw to Bailey Stockton is a good example - 15 yards downfield to convert. Given the speed we have with Singleton and Rutherford, it’s typically a very good option - see Singleton’s TD (BTW-that was pretty sick).

Our run D was strong (held them to 77) and our pass D was a lot better than it has been, so positive on the defensive side. Can we talk about Jordan van den Berg? 2 TFL and running down a RB on a screen. He looked mad.
Understand the unease about the offense, but we ran for 250 and King...
The other big question: does this mean they are getting rid of CL1 through CL4? Hard to tell from the renderings, but I don't see a separate section for what is now the Club Seats in the view that shows the South end zone and portion of the east stands. Perhaps they are looking to move people...
I haven't ever been to State Farm Arena, so don't know. Kenan is the same as Louisville - if you have to let people by, you have to stand up - there's no sliding your legs. That's why I got seats on the aisle for the Tech/UNC game this year! At least you can step out into the aisle if you want.
