Last game NC State just pressured us everywhere. Today wake just blitz the ball screens. You can’t run an offense that we run and not expect to have your ball screen hedged hard. You have to have an answer. That ain’t that hard to know it’s coming
I saw UVA play early on and did not think they were very good. Was disappointed when we lost them. But they have been getting better and better all year long. If they do somehow make the tourney they are a team I don’t think anybody wants to play
I think you should shut up and go watch the game. If you think that Reeves was the best player on the floor for GT you are nuts. But beyond that even the data you showed doesn't make your point that Gapare shouldn't be on the floor and was the worst player. He was right in the middle as...
I take your point. But let’s see what the last five games look like before we use that as our comparator to Moses. I do still think he has the same athleticism and upside as Moses. To me Moses made his leap after his sophomore year when he spent the time and improved his basic skill set. Whether...
The plus/minus is only in the individual game box scores from GT. If you want to combine them knock yourself out. Not sure what it will tell you.
To my eye - and I am more of a watch the game and use stats to confirm what I see than otherwise - but to say Gapare was the worst player on the...
I finally got to see the Jackets live yesterday. You can definitely see the emphasis on long and lean with the younger players. Looking at them versus Burns was actually pretty funny. Ndongo would push for all he was worth and Burns didn't even know he was there :sneaky: But while Burns did...
NCSU is without a doubt going to do what we were worried about with UNC and Bacot. They are fully committed to running their offense through Burns and I never have really seen them pressured out of that commitment. And Burns is a different kind of player. 280+ lbs but light feet. Decent...
57 I hate to disagree with you. But while CLAUDE and others banged with Bacot, the real key was the energy we played with on the perimeter. This game never really got to UNC being able to isolate Bacot off the role or on the post.
Don’t care what the stats say. That game was all about energy. Jackets had unbelievable energy on defense and generally on offense. The secondary part was they made shots. Play with energy like that and we would be in a lot better position this year
I would agree our best chance is to go with our regular smaller lineup rather than trying to stick with a Duwoana/Claude plus Ndongo. Especially since UNC is going to go with with a true 4 out with Bacot plus 6'7" Harrison and 6'5" Cormac. This isn't your father's UNC double post attack. They...
I don’t think that is our issue. We don’t have top end explosive athletes with the potential exception of Ndongo. Reeves is above average. I don’t think we are trying to out athlete teams
A comment about the need for size down low. Without a doubt I would love to put 15 lbs on Ndongo and keep his motor and springs. It would help him on both ends. But if you look at most of the games we had trouble containing bigs - especially last night - look to see how often we give an easy...
