Mike Tyson an American boxer and philosopher said “Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face” We will have to see how Doryan handles the bumps.
Baye Ndongo was no. 172 as a recruit on 247 and Doryan was no. 151 on the same site. He also is heavier than Baye. No one really knows how they are going to turn out until they start playing.
CDS played a lot of different guys last year. This year we have eight guards and wings that will get minutes until they play themselves out of the rotation. Early in the season, we may utilize 10 or more players in a contested game.
I have confidence tha CDS will work out his preferred lineup over the summer. As most have said Ndongo, George, and McCollum are locks to start. Reeves is probably a starter also. Ndongo will average over 30 minutes at the 4 and 5 positions in contested games. We have seven players that might...
Hopefully Ndongo can hit enough threes to keep the defense guarding him outside, and can play the 4 except when it provides a competitive advantage to put him at the 5.
Ndongo didn't shoot a lot of threes last season (12 attempts), but he did shoot 33%. CDS will play a lot of different lineups to gain competitive advantage. If Onwuchekwa can be productive at the 5, he also has potential to be a good three point shooter. It will be fun watching this team develop.
I think CDS is really going to lean toward playing Ndongo at PF. Mutombo, Onwuchekwa, Powell, and Kirouac can play the 5. Souare might be able to play the 5.
Thanks for the post. Completing will the drink saga is tough.
Giving Doryan Onwuchekwa an early shot at center sounds like a great idea. Also like McCollum getting at least the initial start at shooting guard. George, Reeves, and Ndongo baring injuries are probably going to start. We have other...
Last year we seemed to get manhandled at the wing particularly by in conference teams we probably should have beaten. O'Brien could help provide some strength in the middle. Though it's not very likely to happen, IMO a returning heathy Miles Kelly for our last roster spot would be ideal...
I think lack of NIL funding and some other issues played into Ryan Mutombo's transfer. Link below may be common knowledge, but if not, it may be worth considering before commenting.

IMHO, the team needs are Ndongo returning and landing a front court player from the Portal. Miles Kelly becomes part of our plans again if we have an available scholarship and NIL funds.
I don't know anything about F-1 Student Visas, but if even passive NIL income (not sure what that means) can lead to deportation. The easy path to cash just went over a cliff. It probably happens a lot, but it appears to be illegal.
Asking for a friend, does the NIL cash payment meeting have to be at an international game in which the athlete is participating?
If not, could a representative of an international NIL provider request an interview with an unnamed college athlete at his office in some Caribbean Island nation...
