We have 3 chances to reach the top:
1. Somehow, someway, college football gets cleaned up. Maybe an FBI investigation that makes the basketball one look like Barney Fife. Then every single factory goes on probation, some get the death penalty for a few years, and hopefully we come out as one...
To comment on the original thread topic ...
I have no idea about how good/bad of a job Sisk did with our strength and conditioning, and I would bet a lot of money that neither does anybody else who has made comments about him in this thread.
That said, this looks like a really good hire; about...
That's fair too. There's a way to do this together, I think. And, I think it has to start with those who are all about CGC to have some understanding and appreciation for those of us who especially believed in the CPJ tenure. Right now the CGC folks are on top of the mountain. They can reach...
I want to move forward with you. I'm trying. If you could say something like "This is such a great hire!", instead of "This is such an upgrade!" That would help me and a lot of others to be unified. And, I'm not saying you said that, but that's the kind of thing that was said in this thread...
Where did @bwelbo or anybody else say anything about that being a goal?? The context was someone saying it would take many years to "rebuild". @bwelbo simply said it wasn't a big "rebuild" because we've been mostly a winning program for a couple decades, as opposed to say what Cutcliffe had to...
Geeeeeezzzz, I'm trying my best to like CGC, to enjoy the hope of new hires and all that jazz. You know, the whole honeymoon period thing. But, some of you are really making it difficult. The school-girl-crush comment was right on target.
If you few could find a way to promote the new...
Maybe you could specify who are these mythical "same 8 guys" or "the option crowd". What fonts do you consider to be illogical in their posts that fall on the "pro" "blind" option preference? It could be that there are some fonts who are illogically pro-ption to the detriment of them being...
I can't tell if you're arguing with me. If you are, can you try a little harder or be more specific? If not, maybe it would help to not use blanket statements like "you guys".
We did have a choice to keep the direction of the program and chose a different direction. That was @65Jacket's point ... and that is an extremely significant point and will remain so for the next few years. If we're lucky, CGC will be a big winner at GT and this point will go away. If not...
You're probably talking about the majority of kids at factories, the majority of 4 and 5 start type kids.

And, watch this (part 1 of 4-part series):
I've got first hand knowledge of...
Agree, and will add, I think the academic environment and also the under-the-table pay-for-play environment will both have to change for GT to win "National Signing Day" championships. (or we'll have to cheat)
It's bad form to ask something of someone you know they don't have the ability to give. It would be exactly equivalent to ask you to show proof the other way. Four words ro remember:
1. Flunk. Gate.
2. Academic. Probation.
Just correlate both of those events to the time period of GT...
As most have said, CPJ wouldn't play him for the sake of this one game and burn a whole year's opportunity. However, if a kid has expressed a strong desire not to redshirt (ie they don't want that extra year), then that would be another story, and you might play a kid like that if he can help...
