GT vs Louisville (2/25/23) - SENIOR DAY GAME THREAD

I do expect him back, maybe next game.

IF Pastner is fired, who would be a good hire to replace him?

1000% agree... Give me someone like over Ron Hunter or Mark Turgeon any day of the week.

IF Pastner is fired, who would be a good hire to replace him?

I'm just giving you my perpective from being there. Trust me, I am not scared to call it both ways with respect to attendance. I was really impressed with the crowd for Florida Tech. It was a much bigger crowd than many of the early non-conference games. I'm not sitting here telling you that...

GT @ PITT (2/21/2023) GAME THREAD

You've been around long enough to know that it has been far more than Duke. Saying Like Duke doesn't mean they were the only ones.

IF Pastner is fired, who would be a good hire to replace him?

Id say probably in the 55-60% range most nights. Listed attendance for Florida Tech was 4800, and I think that full capacity is 9900. For the Duke game, there was 7300, Cuse was 5500. There have been some good crowds this year. I wouldn't say that it has been pretty empty.

IF Pastner is fired, who would be a good hire to replace him?

Have you been to a game lately? It is actually not as bad as you might think. There haven't been many games that I have missed this year, and we have had a decent crowd at most. Yes, there have been times when opposing fans help fill it, but that hasn't always been the case. There was a...

    GT-VT game thread.

They haven’t completely shifted away from it. There’s some things that we are doing differently, but the offense is largely the same. The difference is we are now making shots, and we have Franklin giving us a presence / threat in the middle.

    GT-VT game thread.

That's one way of looking at it.. Another is that we developed Moses Wright into ACC Player of the Year. Other big men like Ben Lammers, James Banks, and even Evan Cole all got much better. Do you think that you are going to have a 100% hit rate?

Jackets vs FIT - Game Thread

I'm looking forward to it. I haven't been able to make the last couple due to work and personal obligations. Hoping to see us stay sharp and win big...

    GT-VT game thread.

I think that it is because we were relying on sophomores that (for the most part) hadn't been relied on before. It has taken them some time to understand what is required to play at a high level. They're beginning to bring it on defense, the boards, etc. Improving in those areas and their...

    GT-VT game thread.

I think that it is safe to say that JaVon has developed immensely. He's been one of our best for the last 4-5 games. Double-Doubles, dunking on people game after game, blocking shots. Don't allow Rodney's regression to take away from the develop of Franklin. Also, don't overlook Moore, he is...

IF Pastner is fired, who would be a good hire to replace him?

I haven't been in a while.. Is the talent still top notch like it used to be?

IF Pastner is fired, who would be a good hire to replace him?

If I had hit that $1B PowerBall a few weeks ago, all of our NIL problems would have been solved! I'd have a section in McCamish known as the Connell Club... KG would have been a charter member!

IF Pastner is fired, who would be a good hire to replace him?

If you think it’s that simple, then it certainly explains a lot. Let me try and break it down for you. To assemble talent that is required to compete at the highest levels, you need NIL $$. We are behind virtually everyone else in our conference. To train, recruit, and teach, you need $$ to...

GT @WF, 2/11/23 Pre and Post Game

It's like we were ever up by 10-12 points. The largest lead in the game for us was 7 points, so they were always in the game at the 13 minute mark. Regarding the final play, in college hoops, clamping someone's arm and holding them is actually considered to be a Flagrant 1 foul. Go back and...

GT @WF, 2/11/23 Pre and Post Game

To me, the biggest change has been JaVon giving us production in the paint, and Rodney being planted on the bench. For the past three weeks, Franklin has been a monster. Pair that with Deivon seemingly taking a step forward, and Lance coming back strong after the hamstring, and there you have...

Exactly! If anything Applby created the contact.

GT @WF, 2/11/23 Pre and Post Game

The shot by Applby was under the same circumstances (end of game), yet you seem to be okay with that foul call???? Put your dislike for Josh aside for a moment and call a spade a spade. We got shafted in the last minute of that game no matter how you slice it. It’s okay to say we let it slip...

GT @WF, 2/11/23 Pre and Post Game

There’s gold colored glasses and then there are blindfolds…I’ll let you guess which he was wearing if he didn’t see a foul there. There was considerably more contact on the pass to Franklin than Applby’s final shot. Anyone that can rewatch this and not see a foul has an agenda. The guy...
