I'm definitely not laughing. I'm going to miss the wishbone (it's what I love) and CPJ. I want nothing but the best for my Jackets and will continue to root like heck for Coach Collins. I want to believe we will be able to compete for recruits with UGA but I can't believe it will happen. We've...
Between Dodd and Johnson we had a lot of mediocre seasons. Ross had one great season surrounded by mediocre then bolted. O'Leary had a couple of good seasons then bolted. Curry had one good season and bolted. The others were mediocre at best. The problem is not the coaches. I've been watching...
I'm for it. My point is that we are in such a recruiting disadvantage that firing another coach, especially one of the best to ever put on a headset, is not the solution. Firing Ted Roof wasn't the solution on defense no disrespect to the current DC who has done a good job with what he has...
No we should address the real problem. Our coaches are not the problem. Our inability to recruit players capable of competing with a school with so many more degrees is the problem!
If we can't change the curriculum then we shouldn't hold the coach to the same standards as other schools such as UGA or basically any school in the ACC.
I haven't watched a professional football game since the replacement players whatever year that was. I'll just support the boys from the institute with my Adidas.
I think the new DC has done a fine job at Appy State. If you want more blitz you got it. It's hard to say if he can do the same with the talent deficit he will have unless recruiting limitations are eased but as far as scheme he's sound. We'll see.
Woody's in the same boat although I don't know him personally. I'm not opposed to him as a coordinator, in fact I like what I've seen at Appy State. This is not Al Groh's 3-4.
My point is that he's bargain basement also although again he might be the best DC in America. Alot of it is getting...
No the way to fix it is putting us on a level playing field with the programs that have a chance to win a championship by removing our inheirant recruiting disadvantage. No scheme change will make us competitive year in and year out.
You have a tremendously over exaggerated high opinion of...
I love CPJ and the triple option offense but he's trying to save his own skin. It's not anything new. It's exactly what happens to every head coach eventually from Bobby Bowdon to Mark Richt and everyone in between. When faced with firing a coordinator or being shown the door yourself you either...
