    Tennessee Game 1

I don't need to convince myself that the Vowels are down, have a bunch of players to replace, or have major questions at certain positions in order to have confidence going into this game. We will be pretty darned good. The most likely scenario is that they give us a really tough game. That's...

    Offseason QB question to ponder

Shamire was money when guards lined up straight in front of him. No contest.

Agreed. Precisely. I have read many a Swarm fan go on and on about the tough MM run against UGAg breaking tackles etc (and rightfully so) while lamenting his departure. Well, heck, I have been thinking, didn't DM produce about 8 or 10 similar runs over the course of the season?

    Debate it!!!

Uhh? I am a TECH grad fwiw (haha). No sidewalk fan here. Mechanical Engineer and varsity athlete. With all that said, I still don't understand FEI, mostly because I haven't taken the time to process it. No worries.

    Debate it!!!

I don't understand FEI stats (don't bother explaining), but if .658 was number 2 in 2009, how could 1.46 not be considered absolutely amazing in 2014? If memory serves, the 2014 offense had the best rating of any offense in the history of the efficiency stats. They had to go revise the formula...

Thanks "Ballin". People who like to bring up MM's ave YPC need to stop and think for a minute. How many of DM's carries ended in the EZ? That reduces a RB's RPC stat. DM is a pretty darned hard RB to stop. That is all I know. Ask "Ballin", if he were back there at LB, who would he rather have...

    ProJackets Update

JT is plenty quick and agile enough to play nickel CB, but I really think his future is at slot and kick return in the NFL.

    Debate it!!!

2014. "They just can't stop it folks". I'm not so sure the 2009 defense was that darned good. I remember UGAg gashing us with the run something crazy. Am I wrong? I was probably more disappointed with the outcome of the 2009 version of COFH than any other. I really thought we were the better...

    Ranked #24

Folks, it's time we gave Dabo his due. While I agree he is a little unconventional on the surface, the results he has gotten speak for themselves. Hiring good assistants is part of what makes him a good head coach. Our own CPJ appreciates Dabo. That says a lot to me.

    Ok Make your Statement

I don't care who wins the Atlantic. Whoever is left to play us in the ACCCG is fine with me. At the moment, I am trying to come to grips with how positive I feel about the 2017 version of my beloved Jackets. I can't quite pinpoint why I feel like this will be the best FB team yet in the CPJ...

    Spring game

We beat the Gaggers at home this year. 3 out of last 4. Looking back isn't a ton of fun. I'm looking forward. That game did indeed hurt, but come Thanksgiving Saturday, it will be like the pain of childbirth. You forget about it once you are bouncing a baby on your lap.

    Does KirVonte Benson

No reasonable person could argue against the idea that Dwyer was amazing at finishing runs. That would simply be absurd. However, I don't feel that JD was as big a battering ram as some are making him out to be. In fact, I would place several BB's from the CPJ era ahead of him in this regard...

    Does KirVonte Benson

have a similar skill set to Marcus Marshall? From one short viewing it sure looks to me like they are similar players toting the rock. For me, it kind of eases my brain a little because it was nice having that change of pace at the BB position, specifically one that can run away from defenders...

    CPJ on Jay Jones

Once again a very small sample size, but from what I saw I think LJ has the tools to run this offense very well. Maybe he doesn't have as much wiggle ( I'm really not sure), but one positive thing about his height and throwing ability is that we may be able to exploit the middle of the field a...

    Paul Johnson Also Ran Coach

Yes!! I want to C.R.U.S.H. them for a single game. Enough of this squeaking out wins when we get them. 2017 is the perfect year because we have beaten them 2 of the last 3, so if we crush them this year it is more than just an anomaly. Panic and despair will set in as the tide has definitely turned.

    Post Spring Practice Depth Chart

How do I feel about our defense? Well, I think Branch will be quicker than anybody we have had on the interior in a while. Adams will hold point better than anybody recently too, even if he can't pursue or rush the passer. Simmons will probably be better and Freeman will probably be about the...

Next Dalvin Cook in the ACC?

Doesn't Mills look a lot bigger in the uniform now? I'll bet he is 15 pounds heavier than Dec 31.

    CPJ on Jay Jones

There was one play during the spring game where he took off and separated from people. My eyebrows went up and I thought "holy crap, did I just see that?" Speed is one of those things that can't be faked. JJ has a lot of speed. I have no idea what his times are and I don't care. On the football...

    CPJ on Jay Jones

It is almost like we are back in a HS program, you know, when one guy is so much more athletic than the other kids that he HAS to be the QB (even if he isn't a natural QB) just to keep the ball in his hands enough.
