    Duke postgame

My understanding of our use of the screen so much is that it is both exactly what you said plus it forces aggressive defenses to cover the entire field, side to side, on nearly every play. If your defense isn’t really deep then that will eventually begin to take its toll. And that showed up big...

Now wait a second there’s no reason to insult… hold on (looks up “erudite”)… never mind :geek: PS I agree with you 100%

    Offensive Play-Calling

I am not so sure I put Bill O’Brien ahead of Buster or not. I hadn’t really thought about it. That’s a really good question and I can see points on both sides of which was/is the better play caller for GT. Thanks for posting your list it’s a good reminder of what we have had to go through versus...

I loved this moment and stood up to cheer. Such a great honor and well deserved.

    Duke postgame

This is easy to say after a win but I thought the officiating mostly balanced out. I didn’t think they were a good crew but I thought their mistakes didn’t cost either team the game. Though the timeliness of the roughing call was devastating for Duke as they never recovered from that.

    Offensive Play-Calling

I like that our coaches called the “score a TD” play more than the Duke coaches did :gt: :ROFLMAO::geek:

    Louisville Postgame

So the OL very clearly told our coaches all game long who they were. At what point is it the job of the coach to call something different. If I repeatedly show you I am physically incapable of doing something the way you want me to do it and you still need to get the job done then when is it...

    Uniforms vs Louisville

All of what you describe is long in the past. I agree that we HAD an identity. It was based on performance. From that we built a brand, not the other way around. You have to have something upon which to build. Don’t get me wrong. If I thought it would make even a tiny bit of difference I’d...

    Uniforms vs Louisville

That’s a different discussion. You were talking about an identity we supposedly had and gave up. I asked when that happened. It was certainly before 1984, no? As for BUILDING an identity I disagree that at this point the uniform has anything to do with it. It has to start on the field. Be a...

I’m headed to go watch the Tennessee game with friends and I was planning on eating as healthy as possible… you can throw that plan out the window. Wings, fries, and maybe dessert are in my near future.

    Uniforms vs Louisville

How long ago was it that we had this uniform-based identity of which you speak? Back in 1984 when I arrived we wore black and gold as our home uniforms. Somewhere around 1987, maybe 1988, we changed to blue and gold. And from then on we've worn so many different variations of blue, many...

    Uniforms vs Louisville

We wore grey one game. It was the hometown heroes game I think that was done with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. I probably got it partly wrong but that’s the gist. I liked those.

Andrew Thacker was better, change my mind.

Actually it was exactly as close as the final score. You play all 60min. That having been said, I agree that Syracuse outplayed our guys and we just got beat by the better team today.

I believe Chad is on scholarship now. I could be wrong but that’s what I’ve heard.

    On To Syracuse!

IMHO Kyle McCord is significantly better than either of the two QBs we’ve faced before and he has played in big games with a lot of pressure on him before. He won’t crumble. I think he got far too much of the blame for Ohio State not beating Michigan. He deserved some for sure but he was...

Huh. Interesting. I didn’t have a problem BUT I was also not paying close attention the whole time. Also every person’s experience is their own and if he spoke so fast that you had trouble understanding then I’m with you that he may need to slow it down a bit.

I wonder if he'll pay off the bets with Chernoff and Joe Hamilton about covering the spread?

The warmth and humidity were uncomfortable. Mostly the humidity. The warmth by itself wasn't too terrible and being at 8PM the sun was not a factor.

Or you could just not reply and let people hang in the breeze with nobody to argue with. Do you really think CPJ needs defending? I'm pretty sure he doesn't give a crap what some message board weenies (doesn't that describe all of us?) think. Don't get me wrong, I understand the desire to...
