If we can execute it, i'd be excited too.
Yeah - it will certainly be exciting - if it's executed. If we're sailing balls and throwing ducks....not so much.
Speaking of weird calls - that false start at 1:25 in the 2nd. Called on Parker. What was that? I rewatched several times and it didn't look like anyone on our side flinched. They just jumped offsides. Anyone see anything?
I don't think you know what you're talking about. Who gets burned in this situation? The LB playing man against an AB? This makes no sense.
I like this offense. Those passes aren't getting first downs and TM hasn't shown the zip or ability to throw guys open. It's just not our strength. We...
Since I've been vocal about it - let me clarify - TM is definitely serviceable. Most of us hoped he'd show some nice development against an FCS team(who's DBs actually may have played us on par with an ACC opponent) on the deep ball. That didn't happen and there were some ugly throws. If this is...
They kept trying to attack Jaytlin Askew with bubble screens but he did a great job holding his own against bigger, blocking receivers and disrupting the play.
Yeah there wasn't anything on the East side, which made for a long line at the water fountain. Glad they're in the West, but we need some on the East side. Today was roasting. Imagine if it wasn't cloudy. Sheesh.
I agree with most of this(esp. the DB's - didn't see many blown assignments). Throughout last season and into the off season, one major point of concern has been TM's arm. Myself(and a few others) didn't see much improvement today, which is why we're disappointed. It's not *stress*, it's just...
There you go again - this time putting words in my mouth. Learn some respect. The sky isn't falling, but our offense certainly hasn't improved based on today's performance.
I understand what you're saying. I am saying that passing short doesn't force a change in the opposing defensive scheme, and it's highly turnover prone. If a DB jumps a flat or drag route it's likely to go to our end zone. It might give TM some rhythm, but it doesn't open anything up. Trading...
We'll just have to agree to disagree. One can be very critical and matter of fact at the same time. CPJ does it all the time. Hopefully you'll understand some day.
I'm not in histrionics - I see 0 improvement on offense over last year and a whole lot of stupid mistakes. Coach trashed the offense and said if we play like that against any other opponent we'll lose. I agree with coach.
I expect a senior QB to not poop their pants against an FCS opponent. The fact that he managed to get it together against an FCS doesn't prove anything. Our offense will continue to be one dimensional and stuffed by a moderately talented and coordinated FBS team.
