There’s an intro to the grading system at https://www.pff.com/grades. It’s like a letter grade. The top QB’s have a grade in the 90’s. At Tight End, Brock Bowers was second with an 84.4 grade. Your grade isn’t your talent level, but there’s a correlation. You get bonus points for making an...

If it’s at the same time, I’ll be impressed. Side note: DirecTV is going into a standoff with Disney (ESPN/ABC) and those channels may be blocked out in September

RPO is supposed to do the same. Defenders are supposed to be decisive. If you have a choice between covering the pass and covering the run, playing halfway between the two is often even worse. Last Saturday, our defense confused FSU’s offense a few times, too. It’s not all one-sided

This is probably “rat poison”, and certainly doesn’t take into consideration that we’re banged up and Ga State has film on us and We’re a different defense than last year, and Ga State is a different team than last year If 2023 Georgia Tech played 2023 Georgia State, we’d expect GT to win...

I’m not sure how many reps he was getting before UVA. Running out of bounds was a screw up, but I’m sure he was surprised to be in the game

He’s at least good enough that Chaney can make him dangerous for our game—or whoever the starter is. Ga State has film on us. We have none on them. They have a new coaching staff, new scheme, and new players.

He went for two because it was free for the taking. It’s common to line up like FSU did, and see if you have a numbers advantage—they did, and they took it. On the two fourth downs—by that point, it was clear if they didn’t score, we either would score, or we’d run out the clock.

What is your favorite win as a Jacket fan?

My neighbor had a parlay card-pick ten games to beat the spread for each to win. The spread for Alabama vs Tech was 55.

What is your favorite win as a Jacket fan?

1990 UVA game was magical. If it’s one game, it’s this one. 2009 FSU game was great to break through the lock they had on us. Jasper Thanks was a great game. 1985 against Tennessee was half a game; we played great defense. I think it was 1999 against Clemson that we won with a long bomb...

That makes our defensive performance look a lot better. We brought more chaos than I’ve seen in a while. Also, the recovered fumble was worth 5 expected points—the difference in the game

Sherrer knows us well. Dell McGee is the head coach, and should be a good one. Jim Chaney is their OC, out of the Joe Tiller tree (Chaney was an advisor here in 2022). If I were them, and I only had the FSU game to go on, I’d sell out to stop the run on defense, and I’d air it out on offense...

From https://gameonpaper.com/cfb/game/401635525. We rushed 69% of the time—that’s a LOT. FSU was more balanced. We got stuffed 14% of the time—an FSU player meeting our guy in the backfield. Our defense stuffed them more often. Our OL was responsible for about 1.2 yards per play. Our RBs for...

I went through this video. It was posted or recorded on the Friday before we played FSU. There’s also an interview with David Hale about the ACC, but the sound at that point has a huge amount of echo. It’s a good point in time for a comparison: We were getting some credit that our offense...

FSU’s offensive game plan was probably “Tech had one of the worst run defenses in football last year, we have a strong line, let’s bully them”. They had no luck adjusting. They covered our run defense too. It was nice that I didn’t read “Tech just stacked the box”. I’ve seen that a lot.
