great perspective and thanks for your responses. I totally get what you are saying about the math/science. The type of learning that was totally (or mostly) dependent upon memorization and recall was not my cup of tea. Law or medicine or history was NOT in my future and I knew that even as a teen.
This is tough. A big part of me feels the same way. But we have to assume Uga is not going to be all that fired up not playing in the CFP. If they wax FSU it adds credence to the fact that FSU did in fact NOT deserve to be in the mix. Not a good look for the ACC...and an even bigger black eye...
The external issues (according to my peers who pursued the MBA after entering the work force) were the difficulties and not so much the academic work. All of my peers felt like the course work was actually easier than the undergrad work. Of course, their masters were NOT in the same discipline...
The people who want us back in the SEC got involved behind the scenes with the mods here. NIL has crept into the interweb if you know what I am saying. Next thing you know, there's dead posters voting and mail in ballots. Dangling chads. The whole nine yards. ;)
At what point is it okay to mail it in when you know you aren't going to be in the playoffs. Most of the teams could just sit things out after mid September under this line of thinking. Our team could have folded the tents after the BG debacle but didn't. As a result it was one of the most...
I am 40+ years out of Tech. To this day I 100% believe nothing in my working career was as difficult as just getting out. I am not saying things were always easy btw. Just that they weren't as dificult.
I know we are looking at a small sample size but it looks like just over half (52%) voted to keep their season tickets if the conference stays as is. Given that this is the most promising season since maybe 2014 and the mood appears to be optimistic for the most part, why would anyone consider...
This is off-topic but I am wondering (from those of you who have master's degrees) just how much more difficult grad school is than undergrad. In my former life, i worked with a number of engineers (not all from Tech) who got MBA's from Ga. State in the evenings. To a person, they all said the...
I think there is another factor that comes into play, esp. for running backs. They think of the game like mileage on a vehicle or treadware on tires. Meaning they only have so many meaningful snaps to play and they want to save those to maximize their ROI. Backs don't want 25 carries a game as...
Somewhere in this thread or another is a recent post of programs that have the most players in the NFL. It is the usual list of suspects up at the top. Players go to these schools the same reason the best students go to the top schools for their education. It is a long term investment into their...
The correlation is obvious...once you get at or to the top of the list, you win national champonships. Several of them. So the goal of a college program should be to be at the top of this list. ;)
Some of your consistent talking points are logically presented but yet debatable. However, regarding this last sentence quoted above...of this we are certain! ;)
We have been in this exact same position before under GOL and CPJ. Both of these guys were/are smart football guys. Somehow, they were unable to leverage your second angle with any noticeable degree of effectiveness.I think the D guys are like the O guys in that they want to go somewhere were...
