I saw a rumor somewhere this morning (sorry, I can't remember where it was posted) that it is some type of matching-gift scheme where some whale has agreed to match all gifts to GTAA 1:1 for a certain period of time.
I can't imagine that it's a head coach announcement. There's be way too many rumors if it was that far progressed. And the search would have had to be going on long before J joined us, and that just doesn't make sense. The only way I'd think it could be a HC announcement would be if they had...
That's a great question. Or more to the point, might there be two (or three) genotypes for schools...or maybe it's just coaching styles?
It seems like some schools/coaches operate in a 'HC = CEO' model where the HC manages the stuff while the coordinators are the primary drivers of success or...
Well, that's good since we'd be way over-paying him for his engineering skills. ;) The point is that people love to criticize the stupidest things, when they aren't even qualified to do the things, much less be a legitimate critic. It's reminds me of most sports journalists....they never played...
We should just forget the coffee thing, okay? It was his first time being the guy and having to face multiple interviews that are more than just tidbit pieces. Give the guy a break. I'm willing to bet a dozen cases of beer that if I randomly picked ten people from The Swarm subscribers 8 out of...
How about Jason Candle from Toledo? Anyone have a useful POV on him?

Thankfully, what we think on here has almost zero...and I do mean approaching zero as a limit...impact on who we hire or how successful they will be. :)
I agree. That motion seems to be more of a timing for them on our snap. I've thought the exact thing. At the very least we need to have a called play to draw them off-sides a time or two a game using that to keep them honest.
Now...when we finally have a real defense...is when it would be nice to have a TO team. Possess the ball. Convert 75% of drives to scores. Keep their defense on the field and wear them down... if only we had this defense in the 'teens.
I don't want someone who doesn't cause their fans to say "What?!?! You left us for Georgia Tech!? You can't be serious. You're a top-end coach and could have your pick of P5 jobs!" ;)
Double negatives for the win :)
Once I get my scholly and NIL money for being a fan then you can hold me to the same standards. :D
But since I pay to be a fan I'll come and go as I please...and frankly we need all the customers we can get.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Fritz is 62. He brings in McGee, who could be OC / Assistant HC. McGee gets his move up and is the heir-apparent. The people who want McGee's connections and recruiting ability would be set for him being HC in five years. Those who want a stable hand get that...
I know this is specifically about BDS improvements, but I'd like to suggest focusing on the whole Gameday Experience. I'm still salty about the lack of support...much less encouragement...for tailgating. CFB is a social activity, but it seems like the GTAA wants to make it only about the actual...
Admitting you've done something is not the same as taking ownership for it. He didn't say I screwed up and shouldn't have done that. Instead, he said it was a 'bad look' and 'whatever'. By saying those things he was basically saying that what he did wasn't wrong, but he understands how people...
