Mizzou seems like such a fraud.
I think FSU could’ve won our game if they’d gotten Ward. Would’ve run a more open offense and their receivers caught enough to convert some 4th downs already as it was. And then I doubt that’s the only game that would’ve gone differently, especially with that...
The phd students and especially postdocs should one day realize the work they are doing is FAR more valuable than what they’re getting, like the athletes have.
It’s shameful how much $$ you would have to sacrifice compared to industry in some technical fields.
If a bunch of smart Physics PhDs...
The rising costs are largely due to shifting from subsidies into cheap loans. The student-facing cost would be lower if the subsidies were still direct at as high a proportion of total university spend.
Low-interest, deferred-payment loans screwed with everything because they were pitched to...
I was lucky enough to have my parents paying and taking out loans in their own names so the athletic fee wouldn’t have registered for me. Though if it had doubled or tripled overnight that would’ve probably gotten some attention.
But isn’t the whole point of out of state and international...
FSU played two QBs. Glenn had a QBR of 14.6 on ESPN, but good news, Kromenhoek had a QBR of 15.1! That’s a solid three percent better.
Meanwhile Murphy had a 24.7. Truly great football all around.
FSU held a team to 180 yards and lost, fantastic.
Pyron was leading a drive to try to tie Miami at 14 in 2022 in the third quarter after a 99 yard touchdown get a TE in the 2nd. He had a 42 yard pass and a 19 yard run - broke his collarbone on that run and stayed in the game. Tough as nails.
Threw an int on the next play because of the broken...
In 2007 we used Nesbitt in the wildcat and it was a run everytime. Until it wasn’t (it was an incompletion but to a wide open receiver as I recall, in the infamous VT sharpie jersey game).
I assume sooner or later we’ll likely see that from the regular “Pyron package” too but the...
The 2005 UGA night game to end the season followed by the 2006 ND opener night game were both two of the best BDS experiences I’ve ever see. But they both ripped out my heart.
Early last year we had some WIDE WIDE open deep bomb throws. Defenses caught up and I think it’s required a lot more accuracy since then that we haven’t really had. Plus we’re erring more on the side of overthrowing vs INTs, maybe too much IMO.
Every time he’s been put in other than VMI it’s been situational as hell.
If you want to extrapolate extrapolate from the “actual backup” situation in the VMI game
We’d run without much success for 6 straight plays before that series after putting Pyron in so it’s easy to see why people wouldn’t want us to run right away again late like that.
BUT: we didn’t! We picked up 7 on a first down pass.
Even if you want to throw downfield next, running to pick up...
UF took the XP. :|
This Ohio State/Oregon game has to be the least I've ever cared about a 2/3 matchup. Part geograph/regionality, and part that it doesn't seem that important anymore in the playoff world.
