  1. Tech - uga in 2025 at MB Stadium

We have other games that could have been used for this. Even the former guy didn't mess with the UGA game when he obviously could have for a bigger payday. And I highly doubt this is the only COFH game that will be played at MBS.
  2. Tech - uga in 2025 at MB Stadium

I'm not sure selling our biggest home games every year to the highest bidder is a great long term strategy for the program either.
  3. Tech - uga in 2025 at MB Stadium

lol at those who think this is going to be a one time thing. I wouldn't be shocked if at some point UGA just starts paying us to play in Athens all of the time. We will do anything for a little extra cash.
  4. Fake defensive injuries

The problem is the moral equivalency itself. It’s obviously not moral to pretend to be injured to help your team yet you are ok with it because it is within the rules and others are doing it. Trying to injure someone is just another way of trying to gain an advantage without much consideration...
  5. Fake defensive injuries

I mean, it happened. Sean Payton was suspended for a year for bountygate. While that seems like a harsh penalty, he still coaches and is making 18 million dollars a year. I wouldnt say he faced any "serious" trouble. That was in pro football where things are alot more organized and taken alot...
  6. Fake defensive injuries

So for the people here that are in favor of faking injuries as much as possible to give us every advantage possible, are you also ok with trying to injure players on the other team? Plenty of teams and players have been accused of this over the years and labeled as bush league for doing it, but...
  7. Fake defensive injuries

I agree, I just don't want to be the reactive ones on this. I think we can exploit it even further and be trailblazers. We can completely change the game in our favor and stay well within the rules. We would be fools not to do it.
  8. Fake defensive injuries

Why not do it on every play? Always keep our defense fresh. If its towards the end of the game, have multiple players fall down but space it out so that when the first one gets off the field the second one realizes he is injured and then falls down. Let's even make it look bad by having the...
  9. Tech @ UNC (Oct. 12th) - Noon Kickoff

We should win this game and cover a 6 point spread easily. They aren't good.

That was a hell of a comeback. Miami continues to entertain.
  11. Duke postgame

Here is why I say sluggish. Between 6 minutes left in the first quarter to 11 minutes left in the 4th quarter, we had more punts than points. We were also pretty fortunate to get a roughing the passer call to allow us to score our last TD. They had one drive that ended deep in our territory...

Cal losing to FSU during their worst season ever then beating top 10 Miami the next game would be peak ACC. They have earned their spot.
  13. Duke postgame

Before anyone claims otherwise, UNC is terrible. We should win that game. The three after that will certainly be a test, and we will likely be underdogs in each of them. It would be nice to grab one of those. If not, we will be looking at NC State as our must win game.
  14. Duke postgame

There is a reason that Duke didn't receive any votes in the AP poll even though they were undefeated. There is a reason we were 9.5 point favorites. Ill leave it at that. On a day where Bama and Tenn went down though, im glad we dodged an ugly upset.
  15. Duke postgame

Sluggish win against a bad team, but a wins a win. Good to see Jamal finding his stride again.

I like McCord but he wasn't that great last night. Threw at least three passes directly into the hands of defenders that were dropped. If any of those were caught, UNLV wins. He had some good throws as well but just seemed kind of off all night overall.
  17. 2024 non-GT games thread

Its a shame they didn't get to play UNC and Miami I guess. Against common opponents (Wake, Syracuse, Louisville, BC, UVA) they went 4-1 while we went 3-2. Their average margin of victory was 15.6 points. Ours was 6.2 points. If they were as awful as you claim then we were pretty awful as well.
  18. 2024 non-GT games thread

You must not think we were very good last year either.
  19. 2024 non-GT games thread

Thats what VT does. They start the year looking like they don't know what a football is then magically find themselves in conference play. Last year they only lost 3 ACC games to FSU, Louisville, and NC State. Respectable losses. They also lost three OOC games, to Purdue, Rutgers, and Marshall...

I mean, the same staff with a week off came up with a game plan that put them in a 28-0 hole.
