  1. Nc State Postgame

I never said every QB. If you have an injury prone starting QB and you really like what you have seen out of his young backup then you are in an awkward situation if that young QB starts getting attention from others. As crazy as it might sound, if we want to keep Philo without giving him the...
  2. Nc State Postgame

You could say this about every backup QB in the country that went elsewhere. Maybe he does have an undying love for GT that can't possibly be surpassed with money and guaranteed playing time. We will see.
  3. Nc State Postgame

They are 2-5 in the ACC now. Their only ACC wins are over the two bottom dwellers not named FSU. Tennessee beat them by 41 when they had a good QB. They aren't a good football team. We were a big favorite for a reason.
  4. Nc State Postgame

Its the reality of the new world. Philo showed some good things tonight on a national stage. Other teams that need a QB are going to be giving him a call with a number in mind to gauge his interest. If he knows he is QB2 next year but can be QB1 elsewhere with some extra cash, he is going to...
  5. Nc State Postgame

Honestly, we should just move on from King and run with Philo. We really do risk losing him if we go the other route. Better to build with him at this point than risk losing him and hope King can stay healthy.
  6. Nc State Postgame

Happy for the win, but that was a pretty pathetic performance. This shouldn't have been close. We have a lot to work on next week.
  7. SMU Coach Rhett Lashley on ACC and CFP

Probably half of the teams in the playoffs will be complete pretenders. If we are being honest, none of the teams in the ACC or B12 are real contenders.
  8. F$U Coming for Weinke??

There is no evidence at all that FSU is considering Weinke, nor would the move make any sense for either side.
  9. Ted Roof

Firing a brand new DC 8 games into the season when the defensive FEI has actually improved over last season feels like a desperate move by a Head Coach that isn't going to be around much longer.

If they stuck with Rodemaker and he played like he is playing at Southern Miss this season, then they would be even worse. I think they knew what they had in him.
  11. 2024 non-GT games thread

Their QBs are bad. Their WR's are bad. But their OL is absolutely atrocious and is the primary cause for most of their offensive issues. Having Ward would have barely made a difference on this team.
  12. 2024 non-GT games thread

He is the reigning national coach of the year. He took over a disaster of an FSU program and brought them back to 10 win seasons within 3 years. He has multiple 10 win seasons at two different schools. It's hard to say he is a bad coach. I have no idea what lead to this disaster but if your...
  13. 2024 non-GT games thread

This season has been a disaster but firing him so that you can hire someone that probably isn’t as good of a coach as he is and paying both of them like 15 million a year combined would be peak stupidity.
  14. GT Athletics Budget

The ACC is basically a savings account at your local bank while the B1G and SEC are competitive high yield savings accounts. Choose for yourself where you want your money.
  15. Tech - uga in 2025 at MB Stadium

It doesn't really change the point. Why are we spending a significant amount renovating a stadium that we can't afford to play big games in anyways?
  16. Tech - uga in 2025 at MB Stadium

Im not sure we play enough big games outside of UGA to get them to pony up. For the few that we do have, you really want to do a 500 million dollar stadium renovation and then play half of our big games at MBS? What is the point?
  17. Tech - uga in 2025 at MB Stadium

I am sure MBS will always pay a nice premium to host COFH. Would you be in favor of moving all of our future home games against UGA to MBS for the revenue boost?
  18. Tech - uga in 2025 at MB Stadium

Aren't we currently in the midst of a 500 million fundraising campaign that Tech fans seem to be responding to well? Didn't we have a 125 million dollar fundraising campaign not too long ago? Now it's Tech fans fault that we have to move our biggest game elsewhere because we desperately need...
  19. Tech - uga in 2025 at MB Stadium

If because of the House decision, we can't afford to have home games at BDS anymore then we really need to reevaluate what we are doing.
  20. Tech - uga in 2025 at MB Stadium

Would be ok with permanently moving all future home COFH games to MBS? There will never be a time that we wouldn't make significantly more money having it there.
