That is just saying the quiet part out loud. I think coaches often manipulate their players in order to get the best out of them. They just don't announce it publicly.
I am all about letting your future work through it. However, I don’t know NTG or his personality. I’d run him out there and let him figure it out. However, if he is prone to self doubt/deprecation it may not be the best. Hopefully he is hungry to better himself and takes it as a personal challenge.
He hasnt done much in a while but he will have a new gig about 17 seconds after the final four wraps up at the latest.
