No way anyone came away from this game without a realization that a division 2 school was extremely competive against us and beat us in several statistical categories. If it were a 2nd tier SEC/Big 12 school, like Houston or Mizzou or other, maybe that would be fine, but it is not.
TOP for div 2 school 40 minutes...does not bode well
26 first downs for div 2 school....does not bode well
outgained by div 2 school....does not bode well
Can we depend on 4 turnovers, and also, will that be enough against div. 1 schools?
I've been ready to be reasonable since we hired PJ. But, I know some are not. And, for that reason, we will continue to struggle, most likely, as the only STEM school attempting to do this, other than academies.
We could win in all pink, and yes, I would be happy winning, but i would still point out that the all pink looked bad, as I will with the all navy for a team that is white and gold.
I agree with this, and I will add "no obvious coaching decisions or lack of decisions playing a part in the outcome". (i.e. misuse of timeouts, poor time management, etc.)
Well, what "matters" to me and other older alumni I guess. I realize it doesn't matter to younger fans and players, most likely. Tradition has gone the way of the dodo bird.
And got drilled by LSU in Chick fil A bowl while wearing blue....like you said, that doesn't matter. What matters is wearing our primary colors, in my opinion.
The pants on the new unis definitely look closer to our "old gold" that is historical. I know there is some metallic on the numbers/stripes. I was hoping they would change to the deeper gold and drop the sand. I know you love Adidas, but I don't. I will buy none of this mixed sleeve color...
I just don't understand. If that mismatched sleeve was white, I still wouldn't like it, but it probably would be more pallatable. I still say ugly. And, I bet the gold is still the sand on this shirt, not the darker gold from the new unis.
I agree with you on being able to develop talent, but without this you wrote in bold, especially in the CFB world today, it won't matter. We need the smartest guy on the field running the O, in my opinion. It also helps to have a genius on D as well, but it is much harder to "scheme" success on...
Disagree. Although I think he was proven, and he was a GREAT coach in my opinion. He still had to prove it to many of the P5 naysayers. That is why he came. His other choice at the time was SMU, if IIRC.
Such a harsh, but yet true, post. I cannot emphasize your statements in bold anymore than you have. Since football revenue affects all sports, I believe if this continues to decline, which I cannot see a way where it will not, those others will be affected.
