My question is what have you seen this year against the average ACC opponents we have played that make you believe we are "better" than any of the four upcoming ACC opponents? We seem to be in the same boat as all 4 of those teams. We all have some strengths and weaknesses. We, nor any of...
Mostly because we get no pass rush and the receivers have all day to run their routes. We play a lot of man coverage. It’s fairly normal for DBs to be running with backs to the QB on deep passes. The best DB are better at playing the ball and can tell when the receiver turns or reaches up to...
So a ND home loss to Northern Illinois is equal to a loss for a game between Alabama and Georgia? LOL Georgia crushed Clemson and Alabama went to Wisconsin and buried them. Until non conference teams start beating the SEC Big Boys in a dominant manner it is hard to argue with moving either...
Actually other teams do use it starting after the Eagles success. None are as close to the Eagles success rate.
Again if we want to use the QB sneak or WB under center we need to commit the practice time to those concepts.
Under our current coaching staff we have not made that commitment.
This is Brohm's second year at Louisville. However, he is a proven successful Head College Football Coach! Overall HC record of 79-48. 30-10 at Western Kentucky. 36-34 at Purdue which is very good there. and now 14-2 at Louisville.
At this point I would guess Miami vs Clemson in the ACC Championship game. If Clemson wins out but loses that game they have a very good shot at the CFP. Of course their past 2 games could be a mirage.
And what other team in the 32 team league is able to do what the Eagles do with the Tush Push. Oh right that would be zero other teams. There are reasons only the Eagles rune it routinely successfully!
For College Football O line grades in the 50s are considered BELOW AVERAGE. Only Franklin was above 60 and he graded at 62. The OL was the major issue yesterday!
I think that is just who he is as a QB. A good college QB because he can do a lot of things well but he is not an extremely accurate thrower. He is still a good college QB!
It appeared Louisville was in some sort of zone defense. Crossing routes are tough against zones. Seam routes work better and having guys find the soft spot in the zone.
I agree crossing routes or really any route where King has to lead the receiver war his weakest points as a passer.
We are not a bad team. We are not a good team. We are an average team. Average teams are impossible to predict how well or poor they will perform any given week.
We have several very good players, just not enough along either Line. The guys on both lines are again average college players...
What have you seen to make you believe we can win more than 5-6 games? UGA and Miami are far better than we are currently. Mark them as losses. That leaves 5 games. we need to win 4 of the 5 to get more than 6 wins. That is a big ask with how we are playing this year! Sure it's possible...
Right now we are a 5-6 win team. We need to get a lot better in every aspect of football! The Bye week is essential to fix the many issues the team currently has!
The defender's hands were not closer to the LOS than where King's hand released the ball. It was a close play for sure but the replay was not conclusive either way! Unfortunately the ball only went about 5 feet at most from King's hand before it was batted. That made it impossible to tell if...
You are living in ancient times. The vast majority of College QBs did not take snaps under center in HS anymore. Unless teams practice plays they will struggle with the timing and execution for those plays.
It is probably worth it for GT to work on taking snaps from under center, however...
We have a talent issue on defense. We don’t get to opposing QBs regardless of how many guys we rush. The schemes are ok. Just don’t have anyone who routinely wins battles at the LOS on defense.
