  1. 2021 Recruiting Class & Transfers In

Some of us enjoyed beating UGA every once in a while and going to Orange Bowls. Here's hoping Collins can get us back to that.
  2. 2021 Recruiting Class & Transfers In

Has transferring changed things that dramatically? The top 10 teams in the recruiting rankings took 3 incoming transfers total. Most programs dont take more than 2-3 transfers and most top programs take zero. Im not sure recruiting services need to put in effort to rerank middle to lower tier...
  3. 2021 Recruiting Class & Transfers In

Recruits and transfers have always been two different things. Im not sure why we have such a need to comingle them now and change rating systems just because we took an abnormally large number of transfers this year.
  4. Ahmarean brown has entered the transfer portal

Luke Doty will probably be fine for SC next year. A top 100 recruit who showed promise in his limited playing time. Assuming Bobo can hang on to Stockton then you have another top recruit coming in as well the year after that. They will be fine at QB.
  5. The ACC will delay the start of competition for all fall sports until at least Sept. 1

Good article. Most of the Big 10 decision making process was already known but it was nice to see some actual quotes from some of those involved. The part about football basically driving large (and sometimes illegal) social gatherings which in turn helped drive surging covid numbers was pretty...
  6. A Trend I Noticed

I think we were well prepared for Louisville. The other two games we were just the 2nd worst team on the field. We didn't play great in either of those games and still won.
  7. Time to Bury the Asterisk?

Ive seen alot of people who think 2022 is the year that everything pays off and we start winning 8+ games a year. We add Ole Miss, UCF, and Florida St to our schedule that year. Our away games are UGA, UCF, Fla St, UNC, Pitt, and VT. That's a tough year to expect significant win increases from.
  8. National Signing Day Coverage

I agree that it would be a poor long term strategy for a number of reasons. It may help us out short term though. We will see.
  9. National Signing Day Coverage

The individual team pages on 247. They list the signees and the transfers.
  10. National Signing Day Coverage

Of the top 10 teams in recruiting so far there is only one incoming transfer (Bowman to Florida). The top 20 teams only have 6 incoming transfers total. We have 5 by ourselves. I'm not sure this is as big of an issue as we are making it out to be. We just have an abnormally large number of...
  11. California QB

If that happens then it seems unlikely that Peery ever plays a game here. I doubt he will wait 3 years, especially if we recruit over him.
  12. Time to Bury the Asterisk?

Asterisks imply that a coach can be as bad as he wants for a period of time which im not sure I agree with. Even with a tough situation a coach can be judged on how well he handles it. As for the future, if we break it down in wins and losses, we need to be at least a bowl team next year. If he...
  13. National Signing Day Coverage

I couldn't be happier for the kid. Went to school about 10 minutes from where I live. Pretty cool to see him ball out today. His situation wasn't quite what I was talking about though. Sermon rushed for 744 yards as a true freshman at Oklahoma and another 947 yards the year after that. He was...
  14. National Signing Day Coverage

My point was just that getting a highly rated recruit out of high school generates more excitement than getting a previously highly rated recruit who didn’t choose us initially and couldn’t crack the depth chart at the school they did choose. It doesn’t mean they won’t turn into great players...
  15. National Signing Day Coverage

Only one of the transfers was from last years class. The rest were all at least redshirt freshman. It’s hard to get quite as excited about guys who were struggling to get playing time elsewhere as guys fresh out of high school with similar ratings.
