Moving teams between the SEC, ACC and Big12 for ESPN content purposes is marginal. The new big money maker for ESPN is the expanded CFP and I would imagine it’s in ESPN’s interest for the CFP to be more than just an SEC-Big10 playoff. That means trying to keep the ACC and Big12 relevant.

How impactful would it be to the SEC if the Big10 had a team in Atlanta? I can see why that may have been important 30 years ago, but I don't think it carries that much weight anymore. I'm sure it's mentioned during discussions, but not enough to instigate a preemptive move by the SEC.

Bama is a bad example. They had 12 national titles prior to Saban going on his run. Sure, they had a lull from the mid 90s to mid 2000s, but suggesting they weren't a massive football brand prior to Saban is inaccurate.

I posted this on another board, but when i saw the percentages, it struck me that it breaks out as if the SEC/Big10 are getting the equivalent of 4 teams in each (28.75%). The ACC is getting 2.4 teams in (17%). The Big12 is getting the equivalent of 2.1 teams in (15%). G5 is getting 1.25...
