GT alumni group in L'Ville are hosting get together at the spot below, I believe across the street from stadium. Coconut Beach Tacos & Cerveza 2787 S Floyd St Louisville, Kentucky 40209 For those going to game, remember to pace yourself- Papa John's... I mean Cardinal Stadium serves...

    "Bag Men"

Some version of it happens at Tech (or at least did when I was there), but my experience is that it isn't nearly as prevalent or outlandish as what goes down with some of our peers. I would attribute at least some of that to the types of guys we bring tend to attract. I won't go into details...

    Anyone remember the leg twist?

Not to defend the dookie, but apparently this is a new style of tackling that is becoming popular. It's called the Hawk or Gator Roll Tackle and Pete Carroll is pushing it big time. He's made several instructional videos teaching it and Urban Meyer has talked about teaching it to his players at...

    Jabari

This^^^ I think everyone will agree that he has everything he needs to be dominant on the line, and there's enough skill around him that he'll get to show what he can do, but there are a lot of guys playing ball who have the tools to be great and never pan out. The biggest factor in determining...

Good athletes played QB in high school, great athletes also punted.

Looks like a mirror image of SD's long run in the OB. Proof that 'want to' trumps recruiting stars and 40 times.

Interesting digression, who ya got? I think I'll go with Mr. Bo Jackson.

    Ken's Break Down of B-Backs

Also have to factor in the coach. Regardless of offensive scheme, some coaches are more willing to play freshmen than others. I would count CPJ among those who prefer to err on the side of caution.

    Imposing our will

Can we establish a basis of comparison before things get too chippy? What team/coach has been able to repeatedly impose their will on those coaches?

B Back Transfer - Patrick Skov

Classy letter... based on anecdotal evidence, it seems that even if he never plays a meaningful snap our program will benefit from his addition.

Sun Life Stadium going through renovations 1-10-2015, GT endzone still hanging in there, MS ST gone

Even after they remove GT endzone I bet JeT and SD will still be able to find it.

    Looking Ahead - WR

I agree that we (fans) might overvalue WR size bc we've been spoiled with it. At the risk of comparing apples to oranges, Oregon had 4 WR's top 500 yds this season: 814 yds 5TD - Byron Marshall 5'10" 205 684 yds 7TD - Devon Allen 6'1" 185 557 yds 6TD - Dwayne...

    looking ahead B Back

Without looking anything up, I think the 2011 B-Backs were the "worst" CPJ has ever had: young David Sims, young Synjin Days? (don't remember if he was A or B that year) and Preston Lyons. I feel much better about the boys we have lined up next year than I would about that group and they...

Dan Mullen, of Cowbell U, Maxwell CoY

Anyone else particularly irked by their word choice? "Coach Mullen has engineered a tremendous season for the Mississippi State football program"
