  1. James Graham Highlights

Am just raising the possibility it[trust] could be other factors like inconsistency or youth, and not pure passing ability. Thats why I'm deferring judgement on his passing ability based on a limited number of throws, I'm not willing to assume that 'few throws' equals 'bad passer'. If you...
  2. James Graham Highlights

That may be more of a trust issue than ability to throw the ball. TO is a RS Fr? With regard to TO's passing, from limited sample size, have seen more positive than negative.
  3. James Graham Highlights

Neither agree or disagree, just not sure any perceived QB woes are a coaching problem.
  4. What to do with Bruce Swilling?

Ideally, athletic ILB is what this scheme needs, fast strong guys. Less about the weight, rather how they carry it. They Blitz yes, but need to react(& read) quickly to take on Guards on run plays, before they get too far downfield. But yeah, typically lighter than 4-3 MLBs who are more...
  5. Random Observation from USF

The block below the waist penalty on Cotrell, like the 3rd play of the game, was at 4-4.5 yards. I thought all plays were reviewed? What a BS penalty (in general). Its a Giant FU to the handful of teams that might/rarely cut further downfield(and apparently <5 yards too). The 10-2 rule is...
  6. Post USF Injury Status?

He was in for around a couple possessions, mostly blocked, pretty well IIRC. Either TO was in and keeping it and/or TM was passing it at that point.
  7. Georgia Tech vs. South Florida Predictions #GTvsUSF

Yeah... how do you scrimmage against this offense spring and fall camp, and come out doing this?
  8. Season Predictions

Rating is right according to Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passer_rating
  9. Fall Camp Thread

I dunno, the app st. bowl game it looked like pretty much 3-4. On 3& long they had some different looks.
  10. Jay Jones Transferring

Not disagreeing at all, just elaborating IMO, It was more than just passing, the problem with the offense was that it became a QB-BB offense, one or the other was going to be carrying the ball, and defenses zeroed in on them. Except for the VT game WR and ABs weren't a factor. As for drops...
  11. To Chop or not to chop... there is no question

Don't know the rule as its written, but OL fall down a lot, even when not cut blocking. What if Ivey hits #25 up high bounces off, then falls down where he did in the game. Would that be a chop block? I wouldn't think so. And #25 does put his hands on him, so there's contact with another...
  12. Virginia Tech postgame discussion

If OL falls to ground and DL trips/gets pushed backward over him, thats not a chop block. Have to look at replay, not sure what happened.

Agree all around You tend to get that with aggressive Defense. A couple plays away from being a 30+ performance. I'll take that.
  14. Defense

Re: Final Drive You want to force them to play 4th downs multiple times before they get into FG range, on their side of the field. This gives you the advantage. Not just once on your own side of the field on a 50/50 ball. They have that tall athletic WR so its more like 60/40 or 70/30.
  15. Miami Preparation Media Thread

Rain isn't good for any Offense, but it affects Passing the most. Visibility is poor, Throwing Accuracy is hampered, Separation for WRs is harder. Balls are more likely to sail on QBs, making interceptions more likely. I would even say fumbles are more likely to occur from sacks. True...
