Coach Paul Johnson Tears Into Geoff Collins

When I listen to that interview, it seems clear to me that the big thing that he's upset about is how Collins' remarks reflected on CPJ's players. Either denigrating what his teams achieved or denigrating the ability of the players that Collins inherited. It wasn't necessary for Collins to do...

CDS deep dive in the Athletic

If anyone is a subscriber, there's a great article on Coach Stoudamire in the Athletic. https://theathletic.com/5105015/2023/12/04/georgia-tech-basketball-damon-stoudamire/ For non-subscribers, the article talks about creating a culture of accountability in the program. Also, how he left...

    Pastner v bell

She apparently had a plea agreement in place that recommended the minimum sentence based on the guidelines. I don't know why, but her sentencing document mentions some unspecified medical issue.

It looks like it got moved to the 26th ... maybe? I'm not a lawyer so I'm having a hard time making sense of what's in PACER. Edit: The prosecuter filed a sentencing memorandum that recommended a minimum of 33 months. Re-edit: Yep. Moved to the 26th.

    Staff Changes

I agree. I feel like we need to move away from a model where the head coach rules everything football related and more towards a stable organization run by the AA where the HC is just the CEO. Hire good coaches and keep them regardless of what happens with Collins. We might be able to attract...

I think widespread antibody testing will be available sooner. If we can demonstrate that enough people are immune, we can get things started even without a vaccine. We need better data on how many people have been infected.

Another unfortunate sign. First randomized trial of chloroquine fails to show efficacy. Still a tiny sample size though.

A couple of hopeful signs. There's progress being made on an antibody test. This is important because if you can test someone to see if they are immune and non-contagious, they can stop social distancing...
