CGC needs to keep the press releases coming that "GT transfers were denied waivers to play this year." That way Tyler Davis and Jared Southers will fly under everyone's radar screens in scouting reports.
With all the 5 Star recruits at Clemson, WR Hunter Renfro had more TD's against Alabama in 3 National Championship Games than any other receiver in the SEC. FWIW, that's WALK-ON Hunter Renfro!
It's obvious that CGC and his staff can bring back Georgia HS talent into the program even if they went out of state before he became the GT Head Coach. This is quite impressive!
We'd be # 1 in any poll during that same time frame for giving up scores before halftime with 30 seconds or less left on the clock! That needs to stop right now!
I see no reason why CGC can't be as successful as CPJ was when he inherited a team geared to an entirely different offensive scheme. The only prediction I'm making is that there will be more than 1 team looking up at GT ahead of them in the Coastal Division at the end of the season.
While I'm all in favor of breakout players on both sides of the line of scrimmage, and many of the names mentioned should step up, but I'm not wanting to see Presley Harvin III. The fewer times he sees the field means that our offense is moving the ball effectively. He's a great kid and I hope...
We'll find out November 30, 2019 if the uptick in season tickets was by Tech fans buying into the 404 takeover, or if there's black and red everywhere in the stadium.
@SteamWhistle:
How about all of the academic improprieties at North Carolina? But they strip GT of the 2009 ACC Championship because a cousin gave a player $300.00 of clothes. The current Josh Pastner situation ought to have never hit the NCAA radar as Josh is successfully suing this jerk for...
The NCAA always seems to find a way to prevent GT from riding the coattails of similar decisions. I hope I'm wrong on this one, but based on how the NCAA has taken GT to task in the past, I wouldn't be surprised if they deny the Ezzard waiver for some obscure nonsensical reason.
Wish him well and am curious where he will land. He has a GT degree and will do well anywhere he goes to play his senior season. Perhaps he wasn't accepted into a particular grad program on the flats. I'll miss him on the video board eating an apple as part of the introductions at BDS.
