I so hope you are correct. I am old and only have about 10 more years to give a sh*t about GT FB. Program owes me 1 more 10 win year (LOL)... and, I love our offense..great quarterbacking is 75% of offensive football..and HK can play...
so, as it has always been for GT, it will come down to our...
All GT games come down to our defense...We have been a poor-to-awful defensive team in 40 of past 50 years.... Can we stop anyone? Ever? Defense will determine GT success. It always has.
I've not been a Damon guy.....beat Carolina and Duke...lost to BC and ND (3 times?).....
But..... I played golf this past weekend with a guy who coached basketball for 41 years, retiring in 2020....10 in HS, then 31 at asst jobs in SEC and mid-majors, finishing up HC at a couple of HBC schools...
I refuse to criticize 20 yr old kids.
I do not have a problem hammering a grown man making millions per year. In my opinion, Damon has failed miserably, so far. You are welcome to your opinion that blame falls on the players .
it is 100% a coaching issue. Damon is very “ not good”… a team with talent enough to beat Duke and UNC cannot lose to Louisville (twice) and to Wake by 40.
our guys aren’t great but only sh*t coaching could produce these results
"..Coaching at the HS level is much better today overall than it was back in 1974. I'm not sure college coaching is as much...."
Absolutely true on both counts....
oh my! never seen this vid clip before and don’t remember picking Pepper up in real-time…. but this game is certainly MY favorite ever at Grant Field …..
"....Saban is one of the best all-time...."
Correction; Saban is the best all-time.
I don't care about FSU..I don't care about ALA...I will be watching all the Bowl games...but only rooting for GT...
