  1. @Clemson Baseball

Wow, 7 unanswered in the last two innings, that’s good resilience
  2. Conference Realignment

I've said the same in other threads. Look at the source of income - donations are the largest difference between the schools.
  3. 2024 Schedule Difficulty - Projections per CFN

How do you calculate Ease of Schedule? Specifically, how do you measure the "talent of the team". That's why this is stupid. Strength of Schedule is a flawed but measurable way to compare two teams outside of a playoff system for some sort of post season award or inclusion in a playoff, so...
  4. 2024 Schedule Difficulty - Projections per CFN

    This is completely stupid.
  5. Only 115 short days until kickoff...

As fans, it's pretty well ingrained: "Don't touch the blocked FG". It was definitely my first reaction, and I remember later that night everyone talking about going NO NO NO NO NO....YES YES YES YES YES!!!!! Images of Leon Lett dancing through my head.
  6. Reggie Ball interview airing tonight.

It's sad that people think it's OK to do stuff like that. Reggie had his ups and downs like 99.9% of players, but on balance he did a great job. He also played with and through injuries and never complained about it or used it as an excuse, which to me is very commendable.
  7. Reggie Ball interview airing tonight.

Thanks for posting, this is a great story. I really liked his mom saying, "I thought it would be cool for Carter to emulate Reggie's athletic ability, but after what he's done I would want Carter to emulate the type of man he is." That's the highest compliment you can get, IMHO.
  8. Only 115 short days until kickoff...

For me it was: They're gonna beat us on a last second field goal. Oh my god they blocked it. NO, DON'T TOUCH IT!!!!! OMG, HE TOUCHED IT! He's gonna try to run it back. Oh sheet he's coming around the corner. Oh my god he's got blockers. HE GOT PAST THE KICKER. HOLY FFFFF HE RAN IT BACK FOR A...
  9. I'm starting to hate FSU fans.

Exactly, that's why I'm seeing some similarities in the time period. If 2024 - 2027 is as good as 1997 - 2000 I'll be pretty happy.
  10. Conference Realignment

Back then, I think the travel distance was a huge negative, and our fans probably would’ve complained a lot about not being able to go to away games. With exponential revenue growth the travel concerns dissipated, but it was a big deal at the time.
  11. I'm starting to hate FSU fans.

Thinking about it, that ‘92 FSU game was basically the start downward, and the re-emergence was beating a ranked Maryland team at home in 1995, I think.
  12. I'm starting to hate FSU fans.

Glad you’re here! 1992-1995 was terrible, and a lot like the Collin’s years. I’m hoping Key will be like George O’Leary. Either way, it feels similar to that 1996 vibe right now.
  13. New Movies

Anderson’s visuals and background details are what sucks me in. I loved the Royal Tennenbaums, and the Gypsy Cab company always makes me laugh.
  14. I'm starting to hate FSU fans.

What took you so long? I’ve hated their fans since 1992.
  15. Conference Realignment

Here's the amended GOR, supposedly: https://www.docdroid.net/vnTS55Y/2016-amendment-acc-grant-of-rights-agmt-pdf This basically just extends the date, but mentions that it's tied to the ESPN agreement. It also says that: "ESPN has informed the Conference that it will enter into the...
  16. Conference Realignment

ESPN could just improve our deal.
  17. Conference Realignment

That sounds dangerously close to illegal, IMHO. At least breach of contract, with the goal to enrich themselves by breaking up the ACC.
  18. Option Football

Still an ACC Championship. Rules is rules.
  19. Option Football

Paul was an amazing coach and had command of his offense to such an extent that he was a great game day coach. Our recruiting wasn’t poor due to scheme, it was due to effort and money.
  20. My way too early, possibly problematic look at potential GT Hoops roster management

Ironically, the last time we were good was when Schensher was here. And Perdue was pretty darn good with an 80’s lineup.
